Joe's Chelsea Bashing Thread!

West Brom do really play better and more attractive football than these Rent Boys.

They should be ashamed.

Why?

Because of the hundreds of millions of pounds they've spent and they can't provide basic football entertainment, whereas a Championship side can.

Still won a few trophies here and there though.

I'm one of these people that don't see entertainment as everything.

I'm not sure too many Chelsea fans consider winning 2 league titles, 2 carling cups, an FA Cup etc. boring tbh. Another final on Sunday too.

And they do entertain, ok i'll admit not as much as Arsenal or Man U, but they still entertain. How can players like Joe Cole, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Didier Drogba etc not entertain you?

I shall be to this what Manwell is to Arsenal bashing.

Me too!

Leicester gave them a huge scare, stumbled over Huddersfield, all that money and they didn't score tonight. Maybe they should have played Sinclair tonight as he's not good enough for the championship. Feckers. Hope they finish 4th.

As a neutral I couldn't care less about trophies won by Chelsea, but for entertainment values for people like us, West Brom are superior to Chelsea. At least for me.

Chelsea have good individual players who on their day can be absolute superb, but collectively they really bore me to tears. Why do they play such football? I really don't know to be honest.

Don't forget West Brom are playing in a League that is of a much poorer standard.

Man United and Arsenal do not fail to entertain in this better standard though. Even Spurs produce some entertaining football. Why can't these flash cunts produce that style of football? I mean, they used to be a very entertaining side pre-Abramovich. Can't wait 'til it all goes down the pan for them. Thems gona be fun times, fo'sho. :D

Oh, and Frank Lampard is a willy puller.

And they have Cashley Cole playing for them. What a prick.

unexpected blocking of words, there.

Alot of things have changed since Abramovich arrived, the reason you'd say they were more entertaining is possibly because they conceded more, I don't know. But like I said, they still entertain to an extent, and don't anybody say 'well with all the money they have spent they should be winning every game 5-0' or anything like that, because it's bollocks quite frankly.

It's got nothing to with the fact they conceded more, they just played better, more attractive football pre-Abramovich. Spending less money, as well. I used to have a soft-spot for Chelsea, infact I enjoy watching any teams that play flowing, visually pleasing football - hence why I enjoy watching the majority of Arsenal games.

Maybe Chelsea shouldn't be winning every game 5-0, but with the amount of money they have spent in recent seasons I'd say their fans deserve to be entertained in a footballing sense a lot more than they currently are. Chelsea's games seem a long, drawn-out affair, much like trying to watch paint dry in the rain. They don't give you the sense that something quite brilliant could happen at any second, like with Arsenal or recent Yanited games.

Everyone knows the team will play how the manager tells them, and when Mourinho arrived, he drilled it into his players that winning was everything, that if you go 1-0 up, you play possession football, take minimal risks etc. and it was effective. Grant has since come in and there has been more entertainment to come from them, you can't deny games like the 4-4 against Villa wasn't entertaining, but they just haven't produced it consistently enough. A part of this could possibly be that Chelsea have more of a team ethic? I don't know, they just don't seem to have the flair, match winning players such as Ronaldo for United or Fabregas for Arsenal.

The money they have spent is basically for a new squad. Possibly more than one. Most of those prices, if not all, have been upped because it's Chelsea, and other teams know they can get more out of them than most other teams.

Not my most favourite team in the Premier League, mostly thanks to its owner and the cash he's splashed out on overrated players.

Whenever I see Ballack, I'd love to smack the guy one. Lampard has done shit this season.

Terry's been out with a severe injury, so fair play to the guy.

At least they have some English players employed, which makes them as a team more appealing than Arsenal.

However, the style of play is anything but spectacular.

And "real" Chelsea fans are easy to be found: They're the ones not going to Stamford Bridge because they can't afford it any longer.
