grth2004 Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 i havent seen a thread on lost so just thought id see if anyones watching , in my opinion the best show ever created. just watched season 4 episode 4 , this season is geting better by the episode. some of the questions that have popped up so far are. kate has aaron who is bens spy on the ship (i think its michael) why did miles ask for 3.2 mill (was it a code) what are the recuers on the ship after why is sayid bens hitman in the future (sayid wouldnt do anything like that for no reson so whoever hes killing there pretty evil) who are the Oceanic 6 (we know kate jack hurley sayid) why wont jack see aaron ? so if miles can tallk to dead people is he there to tallk to jacob? did the scientist prove there is a time delay from the outside world to the island AND MANY MORE QUESTIONS
danny. Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 is it worth watching this? I have downloaded the first 4 episodes. Dunno whether to wait and watch them all at the end. I thought the end of S3 was good and S1, S2 and most of S3 were absolutely mind numbingly boring and pretentious, this one any beter so far?

purpleronnie Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 kate has aaron - the women who has aaron dies on the island and is adopted by kate. who is bens spy on the ship (i think its michael) - dunno why did miles ask for 3.2 mill (was it a code) - dunno what are the recuers on the ship after - ben why is sayid bens hitman in the future (sayid wouldnt do anything like that for no reson so whoever hes killing there pretty evil) - because if he dosent kill who ben says his friends and family are in jeopardy. who are the Oceanic 6 (we know kate jack hurley sayid) - dunno why wont jack see aaron ? - becasue maybe he caused aarons mothers death so he is a reminder of that so if miles can tallk to dead people is he there to tallk to jacob? - dunno did the scientist prove there is a time delay from the outside world to the island - dunno seems that way ---- I think the island is seperate to the rest of the world, its own time, own magnectic field. This was discovered and now some corporation owns it and is doing all kinds of experiments, with ben as the man in charge, he went awol and this jeapordizes the whole thing and possibly billions of dollars. Or someut like that.
hairy Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 This whole thing with Ben and the outside world is confusing. For a man whole has spent his life on the island from the age of 10 (ish) how does he have so much money? More importantly can Miles bit down on Locke's loaded trigger for long enough to avoid Locke's full pay load? Or is he due a face full?
Benji Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 I know the oceanic 6 answer, ill write it below in white, highlight it to read Kate, Jack, Sayid, Hurley, Sun and Jin
Ashley Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 i havent seen a thread on lost so just thought id see if anyones watching , in my opinion the best show ever created. just watched season 4 episode 4 , this season is geting better by the episode. some of the questions that have popped up so far are. kate has aaron - Kate and Jack get married, claire dies. (But I dont know if its me after last weeks episode at the end i swear i seen charlie) who is bens spy on the ship (i think its michael) why did miles ask for 3.2 mill (was it a code) what are the recuers on the ship after why is sayid bens hitman in the future (sayid wouldnt do anything like that for no reson so whoever hes killing there pretty evil) who are the Oceanic 6 (we know kate jack hurley sayid) - Micheal, Walt why wont jack see aaron ? Aaron is Jacks nephew meaning jack and claire are brother and sister. so if miles can tallk to dead people is he there to tallk to jacob? did the scientist prove there is a time delay from the outside world to the island AND MANY MORE QUESTIONS
purpleronnie Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 why wont jack see aaron ? Aaron is Jacks nephew meaning jack and claire are brother and sister. So why would that stop him seeing aaron? Unless he feels guilty over claires death.
grth2004 Posted 26 February 2008 Author Posted 26 February 2008 where did you see charlie i missed that
Ashley Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 why wont jack see aaron ? Aaron is Jacks nephew meaning jack and claire are brother and sister. So why would that stop him seeing aaron? Unless he feels guilty over claires death. Well as we know claire isnt dead yet but she could well be in the next few episodes and maybe jack has a part to play in her death if she does die. where did you see charlie i missed that Its on where it shows you abit of next week episode when the sky one man talks. and the credits are shown on the left and there is like a little screen on the right hand side.
hairy Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Its on where it shows you abit of next week episode when the sky one man talks. and the credits are shown on the left and there is like a little screen on the right hand side. So it could just be him talking to Hurley in a vision again
coale39 Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Yeah it gonna be a vision. Unless Jacob brings him back to life which is fairly unlikely.
syston_fox Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Just watched the latest episode (one that revolves around Desmond) and it was absolutely brilliant - Im gonna go as far as to say its possibly the best ever episode of lost!! Couldnt fault it in anyway - tense, dramatic and ties in little bits and bobs from the past three series. The last five minutes even nearly left me with a tear in my eye.... and by me I erm... mean my mate!
grth2004 Posted 1 March 2008 Author Posted 1 March 2008 Yeah defo best so far. loved it . things are finally happening , i thought they were going to kill off desmond thank god they didnt , hes too cool to go , i wasnt expecting the ship to look like that , more time travell , so the island is in its own time bubble from the looks of it , and what was going on with mr widmore bidding for that black rock book very strange

purpleronnie Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 Why the island is the Garden of Eden: The island is a form of the Old Testament times, along with the Garden of Eden connected. What I mean by that is simply that the island is not only the Garden of Eden, but it's also connected with other old places in the bible (such as the Temple, which is also mentioned many times in the Old Testament). There are many reasons I believe this to be true. In season 2, when Eko gets killed by the black smoke monster (aka the Serpent in the Garden of Eden) he confesses all of his sins but one. He is talking to his brother, Yemi, who is taking form of the serpent (black smoke). When he doesn't confess the last sin, Yemi walks into the jungle. Soon after, the black smoke appears and kills Eko. This is because he didn't confess all of his sins. He has been judged. Just like God judged Eve for eating the bad apple from the tree. Soon after this, Locke finds Eko dead along with the "Jesus Stick" with all the scriptures written on it. It also shows a scripture from revelations (this is a HUGE hint, I'll tell you why later). Notice also that the black smoke, or Serpent is only on one part of the island. He rests inside the Garden of Eden, but doesn't seem to bother other parts of the island. Now for a little more about Eko. The episode for Eko's flashback, revels so much about the show. The episode's name is "Psalms 108". That is the middle verse in the entire bible. On the season 2 DVD box set, it says "The truth will be revealed". Coincidence? "Do not mistake coincidence, for fate" John Locke once said. Here is the verse for Psalms 108: Psalms 108 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me into Eden? Let's now add up all the numbers that were being broad casted on the radio tower from the island. 4 + 8 + 15 + 16 + 23 + 42 = 108. Psalms 108. Perhaps that's why these numbers were being broad casted from the island, to lead their way to Eden? In Christianity (keep in mind, J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, the creators of LOST are BOTH CHRISTIANS), the Garden of Eden was sealed off by God when Eve sinned. God was angry at Eve and made it impossible for babies to get born in the garden. This way Eve could never have a child as punishment. This explains why it's impossible for babies to be born on the island. Back to the island once more. Remember in the second episode, Pilot Part 2, John Locke emphasizes the two backgammon pieces, and says "Two players. Two sides. One is light, one is dark." The light side is the believers. The dark side is the non-believers. If you are a Christian, this makes a whole lot of sense to you. If you aren't, this probably won't seem as real as it sounds, you'll have a lot of doubt. Also remember the episode when John Locke goes into the cave and find the two skeletons? He states that the two skeletons are “our very own Adam and Eve ”. He then found two marbles hidden within the skeletons, one is light and one is dark. The light one represents again, good and evil, the believers and the non-believers. Eve sinned. Adam was innocent. Who the others and the people on the freighter are: Ben, and the original inhabitants of the island, are protecting the world from “the beginning of the end”. Farfetched? Perhaps for a TV show, but here’s my explanation. Ben is viewed as evil. This is simply to throw all the viewers off thinking Ben has bad intentions. The writers of LOST have done this many times before, making us think something that wasn’t. Ben, when he was young (Ben flashback episode) found out the truth about the island. How important his work there with the others really was. He found out that he must protect the island all he can, because he “knew” what the island was. That’s why he killed off the entire Dharma team, because Dharma was a group of scientists who didn’t know, and didn’t believe in God. They had no way of knowing that the island was the Garden of Eden, and that they were interfering what mattered most, keeping the world intact. The Dharma team did in fact find the island because like all scientists, are extremely smart people. They didn’t know however, how much it depended on the life of all humanity. This is why Ben killed all of them off, after talking to his mom and Richard in the Ben flashback episode. They never showed us why Ben killed off Dharma, but that’s because that would give away the story. But I assure you, it’s because Richard or Ben’s mother told him what the island really was, the Garden of Eden. Before I go on, keep this bit of numerology in mind: 8 + 1 + 5 = 14 … 1 + 4 = 5 … 2 + 3 = 5. 23 is the last number in terms of numerology you can make of 815. There are only 22 chapters in the Book of Revelation) This links up what I’m about to say about the people on the freighter. At the end of season 3, the people on the freighter are coming to rescue the survivors of Oceanic flight 815. Ben is tells all of the survivors, and we know now, that “These people aren’t who they say they are” and that “Jack, if you make this call, it’s the beginning of the end”. What could Ben mean by that it’s the beginning of the end? Think about it. In the same episode, before Jack makes the phone call to the freighter, Ben instructs all of his people to go to the Temple. Could this be the temple that the Book of Revelations talks about? If you are aware with Christianity at all or the bible, the very last thing that happens before Jesus Christ returns is the temple is taken over. The people on the freighter could possibly be after the temple. That is why Ben is so concerned. Now why else would he say “this is the beginning of the end?” Why else would he lead all his people to the Temple? TO PROTECT IT FROM BEING OVERTHROWN, OF COURSE! More about the others: Have you ever wondered why Richard never aged? Again, pulling this out from the bible, there is such thing as the Tree of Life, which grants you eternal life. This was located in the Garden of Eden. The others knew the secret about this tree. There is also another tree in the Garden of Eden, called the Tree of Good and Evil. This goes back to the light and dark, the believers and the non-believers. Ever wonder why John Locke was completely healed when he got on the island? Because he found faith in God when they landed. As any Christian would know, the more faith you have, the more God will heal you. John Locke was completely healed! Take this awesome quote into consideration before you read the rest: “You know why we never look eye to eye Jack? Because you’re a man of science, I’m a man of faith” – John Locke. The others know how important it is for no one to get on the island. If people do, it risks the chance of the world ending. Why? I’ll tell you why. The others have been protecting the world from ending for who knows how long. The switch that counts down from 108 in the Swan hatch is a security device install by Dharma to hide the island from people. When the switch was left alone, it made the island visible to the “outside world” for a very short time. Ben knew that it was a short time, that why he wasn't really concerned when the sky turned purple. Remember the infamous comic book Walt was reading? It showed a snow globe? Well, consider that the Garden of Eden / Old Testament times God sealed away. Consider the others to be the mighty angels got sealed along with the Garden of Eden to protect it. All of this stuff I'm saying isn't made up, it's in the bible, most of it is in Genesis. Read it. Even the four-toed statue. Yes, that is in the bible. The mighty kings who protected the Garden of Eden had four toes. Why God sent the people from Oceanic Flight 815 to the island: Everyone was sent to the island for a reason. To find themselves. I find it funny how to show is called “LOST” when “LOST” really means LOST in life, not only on the island. Jack was sent to perform surgery on Ben. John Locke could possibly be (although this could stir up a huge controversy) the second coming of Jesus Christ. Don’t bet on that one though. Just a thought I had. Every single character was sent to that island for a purpose, but most we do not know yet. I’m sure we will find out why sooner or later. Claire had a baby and named him Aaron for no apparent reason, she said. Aaron is a baby in the bible, in the Book of Exodus in the Old Testament. I’m not quite sure what his purpose is yet. And Walt, possibly the anti-christ? The anti-christ returns when the end times happen. Walt has very strange things that happen around him, like the birds he kills, etc. Other obscure statements: 1) Think of the magnetic force the island holds as God's energy. That's why the island heals. 2) In LOST, most of the names are biblical. Benjamin, Jacob (Benjamin was the son of Jacob in the bible), Issac, Daniel, Aaron, the list goes on. I can't really explain who Jacob really is, but remember ... "GOD LOVES YOU AS HE LOVED JACOB". 3) Remember the number 23 on the door where they are brainwashing Carl? Again, the number 23, there is only 22 chapters in the Book of Revelations! The beginning of the end, indeed. 4) The Oceanic 6 could be the non-believers who left the island. Remember Jack said we have to go back, because he was a man of science? He's tried of lying, remember? 5) Charlie did the God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit right before he died. He then later appeared as an angel to Hurley telling him he needed to go back to the island. Is all of this just symbolic? Yeah, it’s possible that all of this is symbolic, but I highly doubt it. How else are they going to explain what I just explained? It makes so much sense it’s unbelievable. Yeah, I’m sure LOST might lose fans of the non-believers, but it also could help save a few souls in the time we live in.
grth2004 Posted 2 March 2008 Author Posted 2 March 2008 wow what a theory , kind of makes sense , ill have to read it again to take all that in , must admit i didnt realise the four toed people were in the bible but then again ive never read it , locke being jesus second coming would be totally mad , ive started thinking today that maybe adam and eve are penny and desmond , i like your theory so much im going to put a link to it on the other lost forum i use
grth2004 Posted 2 March 2008 Author Posted 2 March 2008 lost forum its here if you want some more info
purpleronnie Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 My little theory about the island being owned by a corporation and ben rebelling against it has more chance of being true after the last episode.
coale39 Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 My little theory about the island being owned by a corporation and ben rebelling against it has more chance of being true after the last episode. I thought we knew that anyway? After he gassed everyone (the other others or the original owners)
coale39 Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 Yeah there the corporation that supposedly owned it when Ben was a kid.
