I watched the game, thought the goddamn Bavarians would actually nick it in the usual undeserving fashion. Then ManU pulled the trigger and killed them off... Thanks to Sheringham and Solskjaer. Needless to say, I ended up jubilating all over the place. What a thriller that game was. One of the best, most intriguing and tense televised football matches I've ever seen (apart from Liverpool - Alaves maybe). And even up to this day, watching replays of it make me very emotional.

For some reason I can see his and Tony Adams faces merging into one in my head and now I suddenly see him heading off for a staff role at Portsmouth under Redknapp next season.

Good ol' Ted Great footballer who deserves praise for lasting to 42 in the modern game (assuming he lasts the season ).
