Fox in a Box Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 I rekon 1-5-4-1 formation and go for an away point with DJ upfront causing havoc with his pace... Id be happy with a 0-0 and an away point.
Fox in a Box Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 Southampton manager Nigel Pearson has confirmed he has disciplined two of his players after they were pictured in a nightclub. Photographs of striker Bradley Wright-Phillips and winger Nathan Dyer, reportedly taken from CCTV in a Hampshire nightspot in the early hours of Thursday 28th February, emerged in a newspaper over the weekend. Allegations of theft at the nightclub have also been made, and Southampton have revealed they are now awaiting details of any police inquiry before taking further action. In a statement on the club's official website, Pearson said: "The matter of the late-night socialising by these players has already been strongly dealt with internally. "As far as the other allegations are concerned, the club views these seriously but will await full details and will then decide on what action to take." Wright-Phillips was dropped for Saints' home game with Ipswich the following Saturday, while Dyer is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 The ferries are running again although the wind is expected to pick-up again later. You guys heading back to Leicester tonight might get home before me! So who's going? Is there a special sign to recognise Foxestalk members?

I live near Portsmouth mate and I reckon the game will be postponed at this rate! I went to the game last year when it was put back by 45 mins cos of the rain and it's been worse this time! I'd think twice about travelling if I was coming from Leicester.
cecchini Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Sorry saints fans but a win for LCFC is on the cards. I suspect it will be 2-0 and will result in another shortlived morale boost for the foxes...

I was just thinking that as well - it's been raining on the island for ages now. Reminds me of the conditions prior to the game at Fratton Park in November 2002.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 My mate just rang the club, they say it's still on and that the rain is stop-start in Southampton at the moment.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Are you going Fez? Certainly am. I'll be with Alex and you can't miss him. Just look for a hairy student with a stupid hat on.
The People's Hero Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 I was considering doing this one if I could get away from work an hour early, quick bite to eat and blast down there, but I have friends in the area and apparently it's not worth it, they reckon it'll be off.
lildave3 Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 I have a feeling tonights trip may just turn out to be worthwhile. I say feeling, I mean hope.

Never met anyone from this forum so I'll keep an eye open then. I'm in turnstile L or M, Block 46 Row X and probably wearing a blue/navy Nike rain-jacket with faded lettering on the back 'Beach Soccer Official'. Will be at the ground about 7.00 and straight to the bar for a beer.
hellIfIKnow Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 public service announcement despite it now tipping down in southampton, they still say its on......almost as if its a silly question to ask?! which seems a bit odd.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 I've got a 20 minute trip on a catamaran which is going to be a bit choppy. It's gusting Force 7 and rising in the Solent at the minute and when that gets under the hull it lifts the whole ****ing boat out of the water and then it slams back down again! Might have a couple of beers before I get on it!!
