Thracian Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Jas123 on Talking Balls has painstakingly worked out that we've now gone 458 minutes without a Leicester player scoring a first team goal. Oh yes and it is now mathematically impossible for us to secure automatic promotion!

Zingari Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 sobering thoughts i'm trying to give them up thanks

Thracian Posted 12 March 2008 Author Posted 12 March 2008 Not if the top few go in to administration. I wonder if we'd manage to blow it if they all went into admin!
The People's Hero Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 I wonder if we'd manage to blow it if they all went into admin! Of course we would! This is Leicester! A footballing by-word now for under-achievement.
Master Fox Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 I wonder if we'd manage to blow it if they all went into admin! Cardiff could still go into Admin, that would put them 6 points below us. I'd bet we'd still manage to blow that advantage and still go down.
harpendenfox Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Another sobering thought is that we are just about to complete our sixth very poor season out of seven. The only exception being the Mick-eh promotion year. We appear to be on a long downward spiral. The only positive is that our fans have stayed so loyal. Saints only got 17,000 for last night's game for example. I just hope over the next few games we don't see lots of OS articles imploring us 'to be the twelvth man', 'keep the faith' and 'make the difference'. We have kept the faith. In games like BC on Saturday there was a cracking atmosphere. We just need our strikers, whoever they may be, to remember how to score goals.
breadandcheese Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 That is a lovely statistic and didn't realise it was that long. Yet Ollie still persists with playing our most consistent scorer on the wing.

Fook goal scoring...I think MM should offer a Gift of say 23mil to Cardiff, maybe ask them to throw in a kind hearted jesture in return... say a Cup Semi Final place, maybe get real lovi dovi and swap managers.....
Tilley Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Cardiff could still go into Admin, that would put them 6 points below us. I'd bet we'd still manage to blow that advantage and still go down. I think we are all clutching at straws here. It will be an 11th hour cov style save.
Ric Flair Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 What amazes me is that in nearly every game under Holloway we have missed sitters in the first 10 minutes of matches. If we don't score early on, we don't score at all and obviously therefore we don't win. We're more of a one trick pony as a team than i've ever seen us before under the array of ashtray managers we've had in recent years. It's worrying and our number is up. No team dodges relegation for as many seasons as we have without eventually taking the plunge. What worries me more than any of this though is i'm not that bothered, which is either shameful or vindication of what this shower has done to the fans of this club.

When i clocked in for work i immediately got shit from a Forest fan. I actually laughed with him and really wasnt bothered. Normally i would have to him to fcuk off and go fcuk his mum or something. suppose the last few years just wears you down and you actually start thinking about the inevitable actually happening.

I believe that this is the first time over that period that survival is not in our own hands - (we are now dependent on other sides losing and wasting their games in hand as well trying for the odd point or two ourselves) we've been in the relegation places before but with games in hand as I recall
