Foxhateram Posted 27 March 2008 Posted 27 March 2008 Just been in touch with Peter Jones, with my idea of a ralying cry by an ex player before kick off. He was realy interested in the idea and he said that it was being considered and that they are toying with the idea. I truly beleive a cry such as that would realy motivate both the fans and the players. What are your views on the idea, and do you think it might wake up the flask brigade?

If Ollie (who is paid to gee them up!!) cant do it then no ****er can. I fear that Ollie will play for draws in the games that we should be winning in the hope that we may sneak a win here or there and that the other teams around us lose. The whole situation down at the Walkers is beginning to smell of desperation. The more I read about more players on loan or lets get an old player to rally the fans the more I am thinking we are down. No confidence, no belief and absolutly no ideas.

Until they found out it was yet another gutless performance from the twats that represent us on the pitch. Unless you line everyone of them up and get Matty Elliot to tell them exactly how it is, they probably won't even know it's going on. I appreciate your efforts. I've done a lot of things to try and help improve atmosphere and how things happen on a match day. I just don't feel like the fans are willing to back for team as they think what's happening on the pitch doesn't deserve support.

We were losing 3-0 at HT in a football match and had a bad start to the season, my mate Kurt was our captain, and we'd all pretty much given up, the opposite team walked all over us. However he came in off the pitch after the rest of us and climbed upon the desk in the changing room, and in his true hyperactive style, shouted out this phrase: "If you put enough passion, commitment, Energy, and Belief into something. Anything is possible!" He then went round and slapped everyone on the face, and told us to wake up and get ready for a good second half, Immediatly the changing room mood changed and we started to beleive. We went out in the second half and won 4-3 Kurt scored a hat-trick, and i scored the winner from a corner in the 90th minute. We Finished 3rd in the league in end of that season. Since then iv lived by that phrase, It means so much to me, especially now hes passed away. It pulls me through the rough times.

Your Skipper helped you come to your senses and you worked as a team to overcome your opponents... City players get paid sh*t loads a week and providing they get paid, most of them couldnt give a toss if this club goes down. They will all move onto "bigger" things with the supporters the only real losers. I might go on a keying mission if we lose this Saturday, starting with Rabs Bentley!!!

If you're a professional sportsman, losing hurts, no matter who you are or how much you get payed.

Agreed, on most of what you just said, we learnt to be mates thow, we didnt know eachother really, not at the begning which was probably part of the reason for the crap performaces. Agreed that something like that wouldnt work for everyone, and i hate the way we have players who play for the dosh rather then the club. Football is dead from the grass roots, i coach kids football, and all i hear is children saying things like "i want to be rich and get paid loads like John Terry" thats so wrong for so many reasons, what happened to "I wish i could be as good as Ronaldo (as in THE Ronaldo not Christiano) or "i wish i could be super sub like Teddy" Thats why i at a young age started coaching, atm im manager of a girls team and i showalot of passion, we can be losing by stupid amounts but il still cheer and shout if we score. Going wayy off track. but hey. all relevant to the situation.
