Reserves Away V Port Vale - Tonight (Monday)

Ian Holloway has named a squad containing a mixture of youth and experience for the match - with Rab Douglas, James Chambers, Gabor Bori, Radi Kishishev and Zsolt Laczko (pictured) all included in the line up.

Meanwhile, Harry Worley, who made his first team debut as a second half substitute at Bramall Lane on Saturday, also starts.

Gerry Taggart's side go into the game on the back of a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bradford City at Valley Parade last Wednesday evening - with a very inexperienced side playing on that occasion.

Following tonight's game the second string face an away trip to West Bromwich Albion a week on Wednesday before taking on Shrewsbury Town at Hinckley United on the following Monday.

City squad : Douglas, J Chambers, Beswick, A King, Worley, Rowe-Turner, Bori, Kishishev, Sappleton, McKay, Laczko, Cobb, Pentley, Hellings, C King, Magunda.

If it was at the Walkers' I would have attended - Hinckley is not my cup of tea.

Can you buy tickets at the gate?

Yes - 3rd door towards the end.

Only just finished a golf match otherwise I'd have gone cos one of my lads lives not far from Port Vale.

Seems we'll have a better side out than at Bradford and might show some intent again.

Awww. I'll genuinely miss your match reports. The OS is useless.

Assume no-one else is going?

Apparently we lost 2-1.

It's almost becoming a colloquialism?

"Lost at Sea".

"Lost and found".

"Lost Property".

"Lost Souls".

"Leicester Lost".

How shit are our reserves? What's going on there?

Almost as shit as our first team

I doubt the OS will answer that. But they might give us a report when they're good and ready. I'll wave to em! :scarf:

Good to see Mckay scoring again I suppose, but surely our ressies shouldn't be losing these kind of games?

And Gerry looks odd in a suit.

You might have expected more from a team which included eight players who've appeared in the first team and including the two Hungarian wingers.

I suppose "hoped for" is more appropriate than "expected".

Never mind it's only a reserves game! And we hardly ever win away games - one I think since the beginning of October.

Billy McKay seems to be in a vein of form though.

They seem to be learning a few tricks of the first team, like how to miss chances, how not to score, how to concede sloppy goals.

Next Reserves match at Hinckley is against Shrewsbury Town on 21st April.

Agree that the tea and coffee are awful, have a beer instead.

Still - at least Taggs is getting experience concocting pathetic excuses.
