HA, you don't have to go into school still! What are they going to do, when you are leaving? That is of course if it is year 11 you're in.

1st year uni student, finished 20th March util October. :crylaugh:

I'm a 2nd year and as much fun as the summer sounds, we pay £3000 fees a year for it so why the hell is it so long?

I prefer it this way.

Simply because I wouldn't find the motivation to do any revision at home.

I think the chance of going into school pre exams has boosted my chances significantly.

Because the lecturers have such a hard time of it..................................wait that's a lie, as half of mine read word-for-word the handouts given, sometimes it's like being back at Primary School!!!

In all honesty, I wonder why we pay £3000 plus, the teaching is the same as it was tution fees were introduced!!! Lectures don't understand it either!

Primary schools aren't like that at all!! Or at least the one I teach at or have taught at!

Just got some bullshit 'revised timetable' in the post for after May 16th when we have 'exam leave'.

Basically after the exam, I no longer go to lessons, but with some lessons twice a day.

According to this, on my birthday (May 23rd), day before half-term, with no exams, i have 9 hour long lessons.

How are we supposed to be up for an exam after 3/4 lessons previous to it?

They're trying to make us fail, it's a load of bollocks this.

I don't really get that part, what do you mean?

Well in my day it was a month of playing champ manager/football down the park.Oh well I'm sure you all would rather have good grades lol

Ha, that's pretty much what I did last year even though we were supposed to go. I don't think many people actually did :giggle:

to be fair, i dont think its down to the teachers to make a decision. if it has become illegal then im sure its part of the governments "Education, Education, Education" scheme and so therefore you should take it up with them.

Education, Education, Education scheme....

Does that include the fact that tax is now levied on educational courses?

Good push for education, that! :dunno:

If you had exam leave would you use the time to

A) Revise for the exam daily 5-6 hours a day only taking breaks for meals and cups of coffee?

or

B) Go down the pub every night get rat-arsed and have weekly wild parties and revise for the exam the day before its due?

Think carefully before you answer.
