Exam Leave

Got told today that the exam leave for our GCSE's has been scrapped, and that we have to go in school as normal when not in exams. Originally, we were supposed to break up on the 16th of May, and then go in to school just for exams. Now though, apparently exam leave is 'illegal', and that we're no longer allowed excessive 'revision time'.

Yeah we got told that too. Very annoying. However for us we have the option to come into school before and after exams but we MUST attend revision lessons.

Ha, that's what happened to us.

They didn't care if you didn't turn up though, good times.

If one of those bastard teachers even thinks the word optional, then fcuk it.

Yea.

Bastard teachers.

to be fair, i dont think its down to the teachers to make a decision. if it has become illegal then im sure its part of the governments "Education, Education, Education" scheme and so therefore you should take it up with them.

We had the same thing put in place last year.

Didn't work, half the people won't turn up to start off with so others will think feck it.

Trust me, teachers have no burning desire to be there either. They'd much rather you had exam leave so they could bugger off down the pub. (Ideally a different pub to the one the kids are in - nothing worse than sitting in a pub surrounded by your pupils - that just fooks it up for all concerned!) :D

We get like a week you know.

Yeah but we still don't have to go between exams, it's especially annoying when you've done all exams for a subject and you still have to go to the lssons <_<

Doing A2s this year, break up mid-may, and only have 4 exams, the last one of which is mid-June (and two of those are general studies). Don't think our GCSE kids have study leave cut, though. Or maybe they do. I don't care, I've got the bastard! (and it means that I'm off on my 18th lol)

5 solid weeks of "revision" before my brother has his bloody holidays..Let the good times roll...

Stop moaning. If you've got half a brain you will be fine with your GCSE's. Try working full time and studying in your spare time!

:giggle: Unlucky NSLL. Between May 18th last year and the beginning of September I only had to go into school for induction and exams. :D

I think I get a few weeks off this year as well.

It must just be certain schools that are doing this, unlucky.
