colbo68 Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Having just come away from this afternoon's game I wish to say that I am sooooo proud of the Blue Army today (the fans, not the players) - we remained singing even when we went one-nil down. In my mind, neither the team nor Silly Ollie deserve it (except Stearman - well done today lad you kept going from start to finish) - but the fans never stopped spurring em on - amazing really when you think that we were struggling at home against a side already relegated.

Your too funny
Moreton Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Yeah Stearman really does impress me. Becoming a decent player after so many people wrote him off...
Mickey O'Neil Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Hope that **** that ran on the pitch gets banned. Also, that fan in E or F who threw his season ticket behind the goal...not very brave when there's only one game left. Up the City.
Staf Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Birch got the fans singing at the start of the game and everyone was clapping he was getting everyone motivated maybe he shouls try going in the dressing rooms and getting the players motivated no matter how good the fans are the players are always shit

He is from Leicester too..........

Birch's Army
lildave3 Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Whereabouts was this? Fair play to them if they did, didn't hear it though. And the amount of booing ****ed me right off.
Kilworthfox Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Whereabouts was this? Fair play to them if they did, didn't hear it though. And the amount of booing ****ed me right off. You guessed it L1

Also, that fan in E or F who threw his season ticket behind the goal...not very brave when there's only one game left. Up the City. Banned!? They should really punish him - Give him a couple of season tickets for next year. Seriously though; Barber gave Holloway some propagander by saying the fans are behind you and the team and really 'rounded' on that idiot. The reason we all had a go at him was the prat decided to make his protest just as we were launching an attack. FFF

Leicester_Mad Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 THe fans were brilliant. Booing our players off and giving Muzzy Izzets brother a clap when he came on. fooking hell . Too many arguments near where i was sat between fans, some trying to throw punches at each other. Support wasn't very good cuz the performance was awful i no i didnt even celebrate when we equalised.
littledanlcfc Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 I Think L1 Did a good job today stayed behind the team shame about the result tho
Cal Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 That **** who walked across the whole pitch and waved his ticket pissed me off. Must have taken some balls to do though.
Jack Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 That **** who walked across the whole pitch and waved his ticket pissed me off. Must have taken some balls to do though. Tbf to him, he was just as pissed off as the next person, he wanted to make a stand. Probably the wrong way to do it but he obviously cares for the future of our club.

adam Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 The bloke who went on the pitch was the moderator from Bentleys roof. Good on him, a point well made.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 The bloke who went on the pitch was the moderator from Bentleys roof.Good on him, a point well made. What? I was in stitches, Graham Norton would be ashamed to run like that.
Jack Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 What? I was in stitches, Graham Norton would be ashamed to run like that. That actually made me laugh
Floating Fox Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Having just come away from this afternoon's game I wish to say that I am sooooo proud of the Blue Army today (the fans, not the players) - we remained singing even when we went one-nil down. Really? I thought the fans were the usual shite today. Booing the team when they are putting in the effort and things just not coming off isn't going to get anyone anywhere. I thought the "kop" was as dead as usual (Apart from the 2 minute spell of Ollies army and Great Escape) and L1 Was just the usual I suspect but as they're were litlle away fans it made them seem louder from where I was. Certainly didn't make me want to go back. My throats still abit saw from all the singing Jesus, you should try and away game! Hope that **** that ran on the pitch gets banned. Also, that fan in E or F who threw his season ticket behind the goal...not very brave when there's only one game left. Up the City. He'll probably get no-more than the fans who are banned for "persistantly standing" - 3 Games. Idiots. Birch got the fans singing at the start of the game and everyone was clapping he was getting everyone motivated maybe he shouls try going in the dressing rooms and getting the players motivated no matter how good the fans are the players are always shit Thought Birch's speech was genius. Fair play to the man
SamL Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 I didn't think the fans were anything special. Anybody who said they were should try an away match. Throwing ones season ticket down the stairs really isn't on. What is the point? Idiots.
Leicester Lass Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 I thought the support was pretty average, good numbers though considering the very small away following. I did hear the rendition of Iwan is a Welshman from F1. Joined in in E3 but seemed to be on my own As an aside, I didn't even celebrate our goal
davieG Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 The fans in block E at the side of me block D were pretty vociferous all the way through and by midway through the 2nd half were waltzing up and down the stairs getting people to stand up and sing in fact it got a bit nasty at one point. Mind you 5 minutes or so after they scored and after a rousing chorus of loyal fans they started to turn on Ollie for 'hiding' in the dugout until we scored that is.
