I was sat at the back of the KOP today next to the security box, and just because the jobsworths in there dont like people stood up near them I was continually told to sitdown even before the game had started. I want to go to the game and enjoy myself not be told to sit down by a bloke in a orange coat.

Come on leicester we will get out of this.

ONE KEVIN BARCLAY THERES ONLY ONE KEVIN BARCLAY!

Hes the real tw at.

Shame about the miserable c*nts who sit down, arms folded (IN THE KOP)

And to be told to stop swearing, in the top of the kop tops the day off.

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SING, OR HEAR NAUGHTY WORDS, YOU KNOW WHERE THE WEST STAND AND FAMILY STAND IS. >_<

:frusty: It's ones choice whether they sing or not, they don't have to. As much as we'd like them to, not everybody wants to sing.

Hurling abuse at somebody for not participating in vocal support isn't going to make them join in anymore is it? No.

The Kop is no longer The Kop. It should be the head of our vocal support, but it's not. If you're a fan who's going for a day out, you're going to pick an area where the best view is, they may believe it's behind the goal so choose 'The Kop'

I didn't think the fans were anything special. Anybody who said they were should try an away match.

Throwing ones season ticket down the stairs really isn't on. What is the point? Idiots. :frusty:

Whats wrong with people expressing themselves?. Everyone should just sit there and be happy no matter what right?

Andy's in his prime. Yet another person has joined the Barclay out bandwagon. :giggle:

Yeah! Lets all be more like this guy.

No, where did I say that? I didn't.

I just don't see how throwing ones season ticket away is going to do any good?

Dosn't matter where you sit in my opinion

Tbh people should vocally support the team where ever they sit

Wrong. Completely wrong and it's posts like this which embarrass me.

This is the sort of view that gives people that want to sing a bad name. Not everyone wants to sing, accept that. If not, shut up and moan to yourself.

People that wanted to sing in a tight, compact group, had the chance with N Block, but decided they didn't want to pursue that, fine. Yet the moaning is still continuing to this day.

The Kop, in my opinion, will never be the answer sadly.

Then why choose the Kop? What's wrong with the Family stand if that's what they want?

This is all fair enough, but when they give dis-approving looks and tell you not to swear, it just takes the biscuit really.

Because the club fooked up the move from Filbo, think about it - it's the cheapest place in the ground bar the family enclosure so it's bound to attract a broad cross section of people that don't want to be in the family end and that will include many of the people that don't get over excited.

The family enclosure should have been limited to one or more of the corners, assuming the North stand was never going to be a kop replacement it could have been open to the fans currently residing in the Kop that used to sit in the old North & East Stand and priced the same as the Kop e.g those that just sit and watch.

Fookin ell the club have fooked something else up what a surprise. However I don't see how it is the clubs fault that fans don't sing (not suggesting you said that at all) Its up to the fans win lose or draw, good or bad performance to cheer on their own bloody side. The introduction of new fans is great, however most seem to have missed this vital part of being a SUPPORTer

I can see what you mean but people are always going to give you disapproving looks because you're different to them.

At the end of the day, you can't tell somebody where to sit or not to sit. You can sit where ever you like.

I'd love for the Walkers to be rocking every week, I'd love everybody to stand up and sing but sadly it's not going to happen.

Enjoy your day in L1 did you?

I suppose I did yeah.

Although if it wasn't for those two lads behind us it wouldn't of been as good! "Barrol on boys!"

Thing with L1 is, seems like people are competing with each other. I knew Ring of Fire wouldn't go down well at home games, that seemed to be the case. L1 looks most likely place for me next year at the moment.

It's definitely not the answer. There are small concentrations of people who do want to sing but there are also many people who aren't going to.

It's a shame N block didn't work out because really that would've been the answer. Unfortunately, not many people bothered to relocate their season tickets although it's not that hard to do so.

You're basically saying what I've said, not everybody wants to sing and those who don't can't be made to. Although, some people can't see this side of the argument. :giggle:

I think you will always have this split down the middle between fans who will support their team no matter what and those who don't think it's that important or that the players don't deserve it for whatever reason. I'm proud that Foxestalk tends to represent the former as opposed to the latter. And when the team is as close to relegation as we are at the moment then there will always be an element of trouble because of all the frayed nerves. The Kop frustrates me in a lot of ways because we've seen what it's capable of in that (in)famous Birmingham game last season. I think the vast majority (some albeit secretly) would love it to be like that every game.

To be honest today was my penultimate experience of the Kop. It's L1 or just away games next season for me. It's a shame it's come to that but the club (and team) have done nothing to help the Kop thrive.

There's no rule nor has there ever been despite what people might think that all fans attending football matches have to sing, they are signifying their support by buying a ticket, there always has been and always will be fans that don't sing.

This myth of the Kop being historically the all singing heaving mass of people is just that, many a time I've been in the Kop at Filbo, near the Main Stand and it was nothing of the sort.

I like to sing but personally find it uncomfortable and frankly strange trying to sing whilst I'm sitting down, it just doesn't feel right that said I try and join in as much as I can.

Many of those that don't sing are not new fans in fact seemingly being 'older' they are more than likely fans of long standing, I certainly don't/can't sing as much and as enthusiastically as I used to.

You need to accept that if the club continues to make the Kop attractive to all people then you will inevitably end up with a lot of people who don't want to stand up and sing, I don't see why they should move out of the Kop to either the family enclosure, if they haven't got young kids with them or to the other two stands which are considerably more expensive.

When will the cun*s that run this club realise that there is still a large group of people who want to stand up and vocally support their team ?

Barnsley seems the best bet for support - shame that I'm not so optimistic about the game..

It's a rule of the land! Next time you vote in an election tell the prospective candidates that you don't care a toss about, poverty, rising costs, the environment, employment opportunities etc but you'll vote for them if they sponsor/support a bill to allow standing at football matches.

I already have.
