SamL Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 I thought the support was pretty average, good numbers though considering the very small away following. I did hear the rendition of Iwan is a Welshman from F1. Joined in in E3 but seemed to be on my own As an aside, I didn't even celebrate our goal Makes two of us then. I don't think many did actually celebrate our goal. I think by that time many had resigned us to relegation.
lookwhaticando Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 The bloke who went on the pitch was the moderator from Bentleys roof.Good on him, a point well made. Thread from BR: mac you silly fooker.
adam Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 I didnt think the support was too bad considering how shite the team were. What do people expect? Theres only so much a fan can do. City were fooking hopeless today.
lavrentis Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Makes two of us then. I don't think many did actually celebrate our goal. I think by that time many had resigned us to relegation. I celebrated it, but I believed we could score another one.
Tommeh Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Strange atmosphere and support today, loud 1st 20 from L1 but soon died down and was dead until H/T. Started off very flat again but picked up on the hour including Jobber getting all L1 to do "shoes off" got loud again as we pushed but well and truely died again when they scored, after that many me included seemed resigned to the drop. Couldn't really celebrate the goal at this point of the season and against this sort of opposition a draw was simply not enough.
Milky Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Why did the fan on the pitch have a go in front of the Colchester bench!? Is he really that retarded!
Leicester_Mad Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 certainly didnt hear the shoes off chant from the kop
Simi Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 The fans in block E at the side of me block D were pretty vociferous all the way through and by midway through the 2nd half were waltzing up and down the stairs getting people to stand up and sing in fact it got a bit nasty at one point.Mind you 5 minutes or so after they scored and after a rousing chorus of loyal fans they started to turn on Ollie for 'hiding' in the dugout until we scored that is. From TB. This is not directed at the team, though the title could apply to them.If any of you lot you are one of the burberry wearing twats, or the fat ginger **** who were stood for the entire second half in the kop hurling abuse and "calling out" anyone who didn't sing along with you, you are an embarrasment to yourself and football. And I realise by dedicating this thread to you I perhaps feed your ridiculous ego, but I can't let it go unsaid. Why the **** should I stand and sing just because you tell me to, and why should I put up with you giving me the willy puller sign when I won't. Even better was the fact you were singing "loyal supporters" and hounding us as "not true fans" until they scored, then you were berating us for not joing in with "holloway is a willy puller" chants! And if any of you are one of the spineless stewards who saw what they were doing but instead of taking action decided to wander down to the front of the pitch, and when my auntie asked for some assistance with them you told her "don't worry, they are on camera", then you are as bad as them you ****ing cowards. TO then turn around to me at the end of the match when I approached you and say "why should I go up there and get my face smashed in for £25", quit the ****ing job, you are there to keep people in their seats and out of the aisles. But then of course as I was talking to you their "leader" shouted down to you a hello and it became apparant you were bestest mates forever. *****
Maybes Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 certainly didnt hear the shoes off chant from the kop Not this again
Leicester_Mad Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Not this again twasn't a dig, i wanted to see it and hear it because i wasnt at sheffield and looked a laugh!
Joe. Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 twasn't a dig, i wanted to see it and hear it because i wasnt at sheffield and looked a laugh! I'm sure it'll come out at Barnsley. There's a hint to come.
Leicester_Mad Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 I'm sure it'll come out at Barnsley. There's a hint to come. love to be there but i go to the algarve on thursday for the next 6months maybe next season at Leyton Orient
davieG Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 From TB. They did seem to pick on one bloke in particular but I guess that was because he was the only one who responded. The fans hurling the abuse sure showed themselves up with their change of heart. Loyal supporters, Holloway's a willy puller, Loyal supporters They should have sung Du du du du Matty Fryatt Du du du du fecking useless
Floating Fox Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 certainly didnt hear the shoes off chant from the kop They did do it, but it was just embarrasing tbh...

However should the kop not be the hot bead of vocal support? My question is why sit there in the 1st place if you don't wish to rub shoulders with these types?

My question is why sit there in the 1st place if you don't wish to rub shoulders with these types? "Well i had this seat from when we moved" Kind-of-person I think. **** in other words. I agree the bloke shouldn't be abusing him for not singing but why sit in the so called "Kop" if you don't want to back your team...regardless of how shite they are.
Moreton Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 certainly didnt hear the shoes off chant from the kop No but it was in the top of L block and K Block

Fook knows In my book there both koonts 1 for not singing the other for berating your own fans
Nod.E Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Shame about the miserable c*nts who sit down, arms folded (IN THE KOP) And to be told to stop swearing, in the top of the kop tops the day off. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SING, OR HEAR NAUGHTY WORDS, YOU KNOW WHERE THE WEST STAND AND FAMILY STAND IS.
davieG Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 The supporters sound like dicks yes. However should the kop not be the hot bead of vocal support? My question is why sit there in the 1st place if you don't wish to rub shoulders with these types? Because the club fooked up the move from Filbo, think about it - it's the cheapest place in the ground bar the family enclosure so it's bound to attract a broad cross section of people that don't want to be in the family end and that will include many of the people that don't get over excited. The family enclosure should have been limited to one or more of the corners, assuming the North stand was never going to be a kop replacement it could have been open to the fans currently residing in the Kop that used to sit in the old North & East Stand and priced the same as the Kop e.g those that just sit and watch.
SamL Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 They did do it, but it was just embarrasing tbh... A few people tried to start it at the top of E2, didn't really get going though. Those fans who picked on another fan for not singing, really are disgraceful. I believe it is ones choice whether they sing or not, they don't have to. Yes, I'm all for a good sing song and standing, but I like many others appreciate that not everybody has to. It's their own choice.

purpleronnie Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Having just come away from this afternoon's game I wish to say that I am sooooo proud of the Blue Army today (the fans, not the players) - we remained singing even when we went one-nil down. In my mind, neither the team nor Silly Ollie deserve it (except Stearman - well done today lad you kept going from start to finish) - but the fans never stopped spurring em on - amazing really when you think that we were struggling at home against a side already relegated. Why isnt it like that every game?
tommo_lcfc Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Shame about the miserable c*nts who sit down, arms folded (IN THE KOP)And to be told to stop swearing, in the top of the kop tops the day off. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SING, OR HEAR NAUGHTY WORDS, YOU KNOW WHERE THE WEST STAND AND FAMILY STAND IS. I was sat at the back of the KOP today next to the security box, and just because the jobsworths in there dont like people stood up near them I was continually told to sitdown even before the game had started. I want to go to the game and enjoy myself not be told to sit down by a bloke in a orange coat. Come on leicester we will get out of this.
Moreton Posted 12 April 2008 Posted 12 April 2008 Fook knowsIn my book there both koonts 1 for not singing the other for berating your own fans Dosn't matter where you sit in my opinion Tbh people should vocally support the team where ever they sit
