State of the pitch - and we think ours is bad

I've counted 3 yellow cards that would have been issued nowadays

No noticable defensive wall on the free kick, consequently didn't take 2 minutes to set up.

Gerry Daly one of our best ever loan signings

That pitch was brilliant - and yet the ball was still played to feet with panache...and controlled.

I can't see how on Earth you rate Daly above Geoff Horsfield

The Wolves game from 82-83 where we won 5-0.

Strange thing was, the crowd was only about 13k.

The current side, which is light-years behind that one, has regularly pulled crowds of double that amount.

Go figure..

But the country was up shit creek back then 3 million+ unemployed, those who had jobs were paid pittance or on strike, hooliganism was at its height etc etc....

And I've just seen me :D

Wallington, he's a P.E teacher at my school, he has a bad back. He's funny though

Doesn't Wallington hold a club record for consecutive appearances, or is it just me imagining things again? :dunno:

I think you're correct. The run came to an end during the infamous Shrewsbury cup tie, didn't it? I am a little too young to remember properly.
