Quite by surprise my eldest's two lads each won their respective county age group squash championships today.

Both are sports mad and although the youngest has attended an Arsenal football training camp for a season or so that's their first honours at county level.

Suddenly it seems a nice time to be a grandad.

Well done to them.

I thought one of them had a kid. Then when I read the first few words talking about both sons, I was even more concerned. :ermm:

Damn you and your edit.

It's not my scene pushing kids to do anything. They live a fair way away from me and I doubt I've ever mentioned the game, much less played against them.

But their dad plays and the reason their success came as a surprise was that they'd shown no interest at all in joining him until a few months back then, suddenly, they couldn't get enough of it. I didn't even know they were in the competition until their dad casually mentioned they'd won.

Not saying I don't fancy a bit of a knock with em now though, they have been dropping hints! :D
