...if nobody takes him that is.

I cant see another thread on him. He's proved he can cut it in that league. Should we give him more of a chance next season?

Yes, he is a proven goalscorer at that level. If we sign a few creative players then im sure he will get it right next season.

Hammond could also be a good player at League 1 standard.

No chance. The guy is crap, I would rather see the likes of Dodds, Chambers and Sappleton play.

I'm prepared to keep him. He's done the business with Walsall before.

Just don't miss 5 yards sitters, Matty. You'll be alright, son.

He had enough chances this year, and he missed most of them. The goal doesn't get bigger in League One, but he might be more confident at the lower level. I'd keep him and see what he can do at the beginning of the season.

if we get a bid of around 1.5, 2mill then he can go but if he stays this is his last season to prove himself, if not then get rid next year!

1.75 million for Fryatt.

We wish.

Are you being serious? If anyone bids more than £250k I'd be shocked.

He's always in the right place at the right time but his finishing is worse than Hammond's, he's a good player when he gets a couple of goals under his belt. I would keep him as a squad member now we've gone down to his level.

Ollie has proved he can cut it in League 1 but not many want to keep him.

It's funny some fans on here call me fickle, sure i wanted Ollie gone to preserve our Championship status.

But most on here who wanted Ollie to stay now want him gone, thats fickle for you.

He proved he could cut it in the Championship with Plymouth but didn't with us.

yeah i am hes still young and im sure hed do very very well with support of a good strike partner and midfield service! he has showed me over the seasons a lot more signs of potential than other players weve had but for whatever reason hes not done it, i dont actually really like him that much, when people were saying after the cov game that hes our saviour i couldnt agree less! but he has something like somebody said about getting into the right positions which i think is important as hes not the quickest but has (sometimes) a good touch and can be a good finisher! fryatt and mclean up front next season! not bad at all lol

Might be useful next season.

He's got to sort himself out though, no way can he be as poor as we was this season. If a good enough offer comes in we should take it without hesitation though.

If no one comes in for him then we are stuck with him...but like all the senior lot (except for Hume) any bid should be considered and we should look to get rid as many as possible as fast as possible im fed up with them and there excuses.

think he'll be useful, but he's been appauling this season. his last min miss v soton at their place - we wouldn't be discussing this if he'd scored

It's a bit difficult that one.

Fryatt has scored goals at Division One level but, just as important, he seems to cog okay with the younger players and is still not very old himself.

But while some of the fans are now calling for a team to be built around the ex-Academy/emerging Academy lads there are others, perhaps quiet now, who don't believe in that way forward at all. They've backed Holloway and the "experienced" or "bit of muscle" route.

Me I'd go for passing and moving at sqeed but in the end it will depend on who's manager and I can't see any way that would be Holloway.

I'll not sit on the fence. I think Fryatt would be an asset in Division One if he could be persuaded to stay and providing he's prepared to compete for place like everyone else and to work hard at developing his game.

However, there's also people like Hammond, Dodds and McKay to consider together with anyone else the manager might wish to keep and who's prepared to stay.

Doubtless some of the decision making will be down to what the players want.

Matty Fryatt is a great player, i don't think he has had a proper chance to prove himself since Holloway came to the club, he played on the wing quite afew times which doesn't suit him. He should be playing upfront, hopefully along side Hume if not then Chambers, Sappleton or McKay next season.

Matty Fryatt du du du du (sorry i had to do that).

I really hope he stays at Leicester and shows what he can do! I think he capable of soo much more than what he showed this season. If Megson stayed i don't think Fryatt would've been dropped as he seemed to be at the sharpest i had seen him since he came to Leicester when Megson gave him a chance

A great player

I think he deserves a chance as does Hammond, Sappleton, Odihambo, Mckay, and loads of other players we have.

He is not a great player though, so far he has been shit, you could blame him for our relegation for missing all his sitters.

you hav to add him as a friend

I can't think of anything worse, having to add Fatty Fryatt as my friend on facebook
