Flagging Support In Division Three

Evening all.

Will be going back to the club next week to try and arrange a meeting with Peter Jones. We need to swing back into action on this in a big way if we're going to sort it out with the club, collect all the money, get the flag ordered and delivered and then take it to a few pre-season friendlies.

Good work Fezlaaaar! You made any decisions about how to collect the payment from us all yet?

Yeah would just set up a Paypal basically. I don't want to get involved with taking cash in person at all, that would make things complicated.

I love Fez.

And Fez loves Stez.

My favourite Stone Rose is Bez.

What if we dont have PayPal accounts?

Everyone who hasnt got a debit card and/or cant have a paypal account can surely just give money to someone who has? Sounds simplistic but you must know someone who has a debit card? Just pay them, set up free paypal and send it? There might be other methods though.

just a thought, but if the club are in on it aswell then could we just not pay the club the money. then the people who want to pat cash can pay the club cash and the paople with cards can do it on the phone or at the club. is it that hard to set up ???

I think that's just gonna make things to complicated - in my opinion it's better to just let Fez deal with the cash as most people interested know and trust him. Plus if he sorts it then we can be pretty comfortable that it won't be spent on some compensation package when the next manager is sacked 2 days after being appointed for wearing a similar colour tie to Milan.

**** the club.

Don't go to them for help.

We got slated for doing that with N Block.

Get Fez to set up a bank account and we all deposit money in their, if everyone who is interested gets the A/N and Sort code from fez when they are willing to pay, no one will get charged?

I am definitely going to the club first.

The warning some of us gave about N Block was that it wasn't in the club's best interests - for the same reason that they don't swap the Family Stand with the Kop. They don't want people standing and they don't particularly care whether people sing either, whatever their OS messages might say. They just want your money.

The bottom line is that it makes sense to talk to them first to see whether we want them involved.

But if they turn around and give it the health and safety line? What then?

Surely do it anyway.

Would only need a few people to hold it up surely?

Then it saves us all spending the money. :dunno:

If they aren't going to allow the flag then I'd much rather know before stumping up for it.

Also to add that I've raised this with Peter Jones already and mentioned we'd be getting a fire safety certificate for it. They've already had a flag before and that didn't cause any massive problems.

It may well turn out that we decide it's going to be draped over the seats instead of being passed around the ground at home games anyway which would rule out any health and safety concerns. If that's the case then less people will probably contribute from here and we may well need the club to stump up part of the cost themselves.

We'll see anyway. I'd rather speak to them and get more of an idea of how it will work than waltz into spending £500 of mostly other people's money on something completely unworkable.

You dont have to have a PayPal account to pay into one, but you do have to be able to get online to do it.
