Get in the FT have to say we deserved it, with a red hot LD3 upfront, Cobbo "the Machine" in defence and midfield, Ched's beautiful set pieces, Finner's pace, Scoweh's coverage, Uncle Albert was everywhere, Manwell just for the shorts, and of course Tevez and his excellent keeping

C-man Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 Was a great day and the right result despite the shocking weather! All for a good cause aswell. They went 2-0 up early on but managed to pull it back to 2-2 at half time with goals from Flynny and LD3 (at the 4th time of asking ) LD3 and Sparky added 2 more for us and with 20 minutes to go we led 4-2. Somehow they drew level as we defended like clowns for about 10 minutes. The penalty shoot-out went on forever and Tevez's save at the 8th attempt gave us the win! MOTM was Cobbo who was just a colossus and deserved a goal. Everyone played their part though and hopefully we can arrange another game at some point!

Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 Fantastic game, FT had the better of the play but TB were clinical with their chances. Some of their lads were really good and we benefitted from an extra couple of players but still some cracking performances from the FT lot. Man of the match was close between C-Man and Cobbo. Also thought LD3 was absolute quality up front.

Flynny Posted 25 May 2008 Posted 25 May 2008 Sparky, Cobbo C-man and LD3 were all great and not one person let the side down. Fantastic effort. We shouldn't have conceded 4 goals, I thought ours were a little more deserved and better worked. Fair play to them though, they had that little bit of nous and strength to take advantage of our disarray early on which handed them the first two, and the second two were a little bit of late-game sloppiness. Manwell's attempted... god knows, horizontal volley(?) was a highlight. You'd have liked my 5-minute second half cameo at left-back Thracian. I must have spent about 30 seconds of it in any kind of defensive position.
