Iain Hume

I'd just like to place on record my gratitude towards Iain Hume in the past 3 seasons. He's been here at a time when the club has gone through the worst period it's ever gone through, but Hume has been probably the only player worth his salt in that time. He has got his weaknesses, but he's consistently come up with the goods when others haven't and I wish him all the best at his next club.

If Holloway stays, which it increasingly looks like he is, then Hume is off. No question. Holloway wants him out and Hume's not keen on Worzel either.

So cheers Humey, some of your goals have made these piss stained 3 seasons a little more bearable.

If Gradel joins you out of the door, then is there room for a pissed up fan as well?

All the best, Iain. You will be missed, even if Master Fox won't admit it. :D

Yep to right. A speck of light in a pile of shit.

I 100% agree with that! I would rather Worzel and Hayles went than Hume. Although we won't find out the actual truth until the season starts I guess.

Time for a change. The bloke has been awful, few goals here and there don't make a player. I would much rather have had Dean Windass. Hume's football career will now decline down the leagues becuase he's shown nothing more to prove that he's any better than Division 4 or lower.

Laters Hume, you suck!

What??

He's been the top scorer for the past 3 seasons and in my view always puts in 100%. He may certainly not be the most gifted footballer in the world but id sooner have a fighter like him in the side.

You know what you get with Hume and he's certainly a player id rather have than have play against us....for me he is very similar to the way Dickov played.

I will finish off by saying well done to Hume for his continued fight in every game ive seen him play. Yes he missed that penalty but to be fair to the lad we should have been safe from relegation weeks and maybe months before that! I certainly hope in the even that he did leave this summer, he wont be remembered for that one mistake.

I for one really hope he stays!

knowitall said this was the case, if I'm not mistaken... and knowitall has been rather reliable, so I'm inclined to believe it.

knowitall has been VERY reliable

Paul Dickov :@

I dont think the same as you thats because we are two different people as are Hume and Dickov.

He has said he is staying and i believe him, as others have said he will be great in League 1.

He aint leaving, he said he was staying and also i don't know who would sign him. He didn't score that many last season.

Anyone that knows anything about football will realise he's done excellently in the last three years. Scored goals with no quality from midfeild, no decent wingers and no decent strike partners. He also works like a bull dog, he's never going to score millions of goals, but he'll supply and win you the ball. If he had a quality finisher to play with he'd be brilliant, in League 1 or The Championship.

He is a slag of a player a self absorbed little toerag. How terms like legend can be bandied about when he only ever played in the relegation area of the Championship is beyond me. His work ethic never even got close to that of Trevor Benjamin and Ade Akinbiyi who both played and scored at a much higher level, by the way.

His poisonous influence won't be missed one bit by anyone at the Walkers. People harp on about players like Howard and co being a waste of cash this muppet cost is 750,000 when we have had bugger all from him.

If you want to keep the manjuicefest going then you are doing a real disservice to players in the past who have given and delivered so much more to Leicester City than Iain Hume.

I don't think anyone thinks of him as a legend.

Please enlighten us to his valuable contribution to our decent in to the third tier of the domestic game.

Top scorer in the last 3 season is he not?

Haha. I thought this thread might tempt you out, being such a Hume lover.

Anyone who denies his contribution over the last 3 seasons is, quite simply, a complete tool. It's not his fault he's been surrounded by shite.

He is part of the shite, right in the middle of it, probably the smelliest part of it.

Yes it was a good move. To put our top scorer out wide while we struggled to score goals. The sign of a master tactician. Can see a few more wanting to move with Ollie at the helm.

considering Hume spent half his time (or more) in midfield anyway it wasn't a terrible idea to get an extra striker on the pitch

Do you know Bartonfox?

If so can you disclose his current whereabouts?

He's been missing a while now.

I really had a dig at Hume during few games this season this is probably due to the amount of HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMES when hes done fook all.

But ive got over that because the last few games have really made me realised what he is all about and fair play to the lad he nearly got us out the shit. I really hope he stays because without him we need to find a 20 goal striker.

yeah that pisses me off as well, he loses the ball and does what you're supposed to do and he gets "HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUME!!!"

Thank god, think Iain Hume is well over rated!

Max Gradel wont go, ollies kept an eye on him and he will be part of the squad next year!

I know hes top goal scorer and the other strikers have been poor but what is it with hume, why is he so rated, he was shocking at stoke and is very normal!!

And then Barry Hayles runs the length of the pitch with one leg, beats all the opposition and falls over. And gets a 'FACKING GET HIM OFF'

People doing that is not a reason to hate the player though.

Not that i'm implying you hate the player, I don't know your stance on this.
