Now Is Time To Stick By The Club.

That statement is completely false. It was spread around the boards by those who were desperate to see Mandaric take over this club.

A source on the previous board said there were contingency plans (probably involving player sales) in place. Administration was not an option, and wouldn't be now, even if anything happened to Mandaric.

That previous board wasn't particularly successful in finding quality managers, but at least it didn't let them blow millions like the current owner has done.

Wait until the summer transfer market starts...

Ultra continually barks a load of guff on subjects he has absolutely no idea about. He just makes things up as he goes along, creating non factual bullshit that he feeds into his on mind that doesn’t really exist. Just so another like minded person on here might agree with him.

Peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man, in a factory down town.

The end.

Peaches Geldof.

I'd like to put her in a can.

And then sex that can ALL the way to timbukto and back.

Wasn't there a comment by Holloway yesterday something along the lines of 'the players and their agents are in for a big suprise' ?

This, to me, would seem to indicate that Milan is going to put unrealistically high price tags on our better players so that other clubs are put off from buying them.

Any other interpretations?

The big surprise has already happened - he is staying, they are going.

The owner will happily take whatever offer is made.

I find I constantly wonder how you know all the facts more than the people who are in a position to know the facts. Whilst I am not stupid enough (well not quite) to think the likes of Birch is a bit of a MM mouth piece - he did say on Radio Leicester we would have gone under. You could not make statements like that without some truth. Thats not a board rumour.

I would take that more as fact than your, so far without substance, declarations on behalf of the club accountants. Where's the basis of these bold statements?

I also remember a previous board (of locals) allowing Peter Taylor to blow millions. Will we ever learn?

I think it was stated several times in the press by the previous board, that if we got relegated there were contingency plans in place to deal with it. Yes, it would lead to difficult financial decisions having to be made but it wouldn't lead to anything as dramatic as administration.

Also, you're right on Birch being a mouthpiece for Milan, just as he was for the previous encumbants, so I'd take anything he says with a big pinch of salt.

Old git here

I`ve supported City since 1963, and this isn`t leicester City. The Owner isn`t City, the manager ain`t City, and the majority of the players aren`t City.

If you are old enough, you will know what i`m on about - if not, well we used to have managers whose IQ registerd, on the scale, and bright, clever players.

I don`t want any thing to do with this shower of shite. Will support my daughters park team - more skillful players, and a manager who can walk and chew gum at the same time, and most importantly - "owned" by those who care.

Heavy Heartedly

Ian

I've just written exactly those sentiments in another thread, having not read this thread at all. Ultra and many others seem to feel the same. I've never known the club feel so distant and misused.

I can certainly understand why people would feel that way.

Personally though, I've never felt more attached to the club. Sheffield United and Barnsley had a big effect on me and I think it's important as fans that we start next season how we left off the last one. We can't have too much effect on what happens on the pitch but we can make damn sure we enjoy ourselves even in the worst of times.

I will still support Leicester but will not buy a season ticket while Holloway is in charge. I really just hate the man more then anything.

Then you got people telling us to shut up moaning and let Holloway get on with it ... Them fans are the reason we're in league 1.

Being "attached" to the fans is different to feeling close to the club. Sheffield United was, indeed, special but so much was because of the fans and in spite of the club.

It shouldn't be like that.

With respect, Birchenall knows as much about club finances as Steve Walsh does about coaching - ie not very much.

His links with Mandaric mean he is hardly the most reliable or impartial of sources. He certainly knew far less about the financial situation than my contact on the board did.

And just because things are said on Radio Leicester doesn't mean they are necessarily true. You only have to listen to the phone-ins to realise that.

What, bawling our eyes out, or (at home games) throwing away our season tickets and telling players they're not fit to wear the shirt?

I totally agree with the 'distant' sentiments Thracian. Whilst I understand the 'follow them at all costs brigade' and recognise that I also used to perhaps be like that, it perhaps gives away the fact that most of those supporters are perhaps a bit younger than me (and you I suspect). It's not the fact that we've been relegated that will stop me renewing our season tickets, it's the how it happened that does. If Ollie is staying, it just goes to show that we are now in the hands of Dumb and Dumber, I can't support this style of leadership and mealy mouthed false adoration of a loyal fanbase. I'm not looking backwards with rose tinted glasses because I go back quite a way to when it was crap before, but you did feel part of something then. I can't put my name to principles I can't support. I'm sorry for that, it's just how I am.

Ultra is such a fu cking ****.

Anyone else get the impression he's revelling in all this?

It's like his proudest moment. Ever.

Are you accusing Ultra of being an attention whore? You? Of all people?

Err... I'm not sure where you're getting that from but I suggest you re-read my post and engage your brain before posting again.
