My question is which will Mandaric do first, appoint a manager or sign a new player?

Manager... and he'll get a decent one this time.

I don't think his choices have been all bad... Allen, well, who was to know he would end up being a bully and like he was... Megson, he could have been good for us but he left us for Bolton who he kept in the Premiership... Holloway looked fairly good to start with but just couldn't deliver which can't be blamed on Mandaric...

Yes, he interferes too much and that has to stop if we are to get better but I don't think he's done too much... its certainly not his fault we are in this mess... he has to take some blame but not nearly as much as the crappy players or managers...

If I'm ever looking for someone to speak on my behalf it wont be you if that's the best you can say about Mandaric :P .

You are very good at making assumptions, you know for a fact Allen was a bully :dunno: did he have the same look as Newell?. As for Holloway not delivering and MM being blameless, errrrr MM chose Holloway after extensive research and claimed he was the man to take us upwards and onwards - how can that make MM blameless :dunno: .

A leopard doesn't change it's spots so there's no reason to presume MM is going to stop interfering. If interfering means affecting who we sign and those players end up like the manager, crap then again surely MM is culpable.

Prediction

MM apoints someone who has done nothing in football before.

and ollie takes over another league 1 team and beats us in the playoffs.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse............

I just seen spotted a well known manger in Leicester...................

I think your repuation is pretty much dead after your claims of "WE ARE DEFINTLEY STAYING UP" etc! :P

Thaksin, Romanov, Mandaric, Abramovich, Hicks/Gillett... the list goes on.

Mandaric is clueless alongside these foreign businessmen who claim they understand about the English game and love it.

But money is ruining the game and all they care about is using the sport to make more money,

Abramovich might be a bit harsh because it's going to make no difference to his bank account whatsoever.

Our new manager will be gone by January, probably.

Holloway carried the bulk of supporters with him throughout his tenure - it was just the knee-jerk of relegation that temporarily turned that support. I'll wager his name would have been sung lustily at the first friendly of the summer had he stayed.

Is this sarcasm?

I know i'll probably be slated for saying this, but I have been saying since christmas that Ollie had to go, simple as. The guy didn't have a future here, besides him being tactically inept and a general moron he was in way out of his depth I thought that was seemingly obvious?

in hindsight MM got a few things horribly wrong , and many on here did not like his decisions at the time , but equally many did and football is always like that ;

how many would have greeted phil brown as our new manager or dean windass as our hero ? i suspect not many

MM is trying his best (admitedly because eventually he wants a good return on his investment) but i believe we still should trust him, as much that has gone wrong can hardly be blamed on him . i was pessimistic right from the start of the season ( but only expecting lower mid-table) , very few could have predicted we would be in this position

Well do you? How can anyone?

Yeah I have the "faith" to get it right. How can anyone? Did the Sheff United, Barnsley, Sheff Wed and Stoke games not prove this? I'm sure your the only one to feel like this, 'cos i'm sure we'll still have the commitment from the fans next season.

No.

Holloway enjoyed a very vocal support home and away up to and including our abysmal game against Wednesday and I am convinced that would have carried on. Even after the Wednesday game the majority of people on Foxestalk wanted him to stay - and it wasn't until we hit the drop that all of a sudden everyone thought he had to go. And then, in the ensuing weeks, the attitude softened. People really wanted him to do well and that would have been reflected in the vocal support next season had he stayed.

No sarcasm at all

In the words of Churchill (insurance), O No.

Theres more chance of us going down to League 2 in 1 season than Milan bringing in the right appointment.

I have no faith whatsoever unfortunately.

But this similar thing happened at Portsmouth, he had plenty of managers in his time there until he finally came across Redknapp.

Personally i think Mandaric is culpable for the current mess as he did employee Holloway and gave him the money for the crap players he brought. Fans need to ask themselves what they really want a a club with money but a hopeless chairman or a manager who can work miracles when we haven't got a pot to piss in. I know which one i'd rather have at the moment.

By the way people who think Holloway is a moron should have the guts at least to say it to his face. Yes he was the wrong man and now he's gone but he came across away from Football as a decent man. He has a wife who has battled cancer and his kids are both deaf so if that makes him a moron what does that make the rest of us? By the way his wife does know what people like us think about him as she apparently goes on the fans websites.

anyone think its time for a director of football here , tho i'm not a fan of such a position maybe we need someone of experience ie past manager thats still in touch with current times [dario grady] type, to make sure we dont waste money on players that arent up for fighting for the cause.

MM has his man lined up already. He's just waiting for a few days to decide on whether to bring him in pre 31 May or post 31 May. This is all dependant on season ticket sales. As was the demise of IH.

MM saw season ticket sales were not shifting as required, so he took action, prematurely to his original statement.

I have zero confidence in MM getting it right this time. I'm not convinced he will get it right.

Everyone blames IH. For me, the players and MM are more accountable for our current predicament than IH will ever be.

IH is the easy target. I like the bloke and wish him all the best.

MM you had better get this right.

As before though, I'm holding out til 31 May to renew my ticket.

We had one in Dave Bassett. He was just a waste of space and money.
