davieG Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Great goal from Hull, WindassHull 1 Brizle 0 Hull will be fooked without Campbell in the Premier and Windass is too fooked to survive in the Premier - I fear for either of these teams getting prromoted.
lildave3 Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Was a cracking volley. Was just what he was practising with Beagrie in the little video they showed before the game!
davieG Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Was a cracking volley. Was just what he was practising with Beagrie in the little video they showed before the game! When did we ever get a player so clearly unmarked?
MC Prussian Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Looking good for Hull at the moment. No matter how they fare in the Premiership, I'll still make them my heroes.
fox123 Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Looking good for Hull at the moment. No matter how they fare in the Premiership, I'll still make them my heroes. Phil Brown's done a great job fair play to him
davieG Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Well done Hull, but I do think they will get absolutely mullered in the Premier but I guess the fans wont mind and £60 mill will be nice compensation if they come straight back down. Weren't they known as the biggest City never to have played at the top level of the game?
Benjani Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Surely it's better to go up through the play-offs than 2nd position? More ticket sales, Wembley and you get a trophy! Ridiculous.
lildave3 Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Fantastic story for Windass. Well done Hull, fantastic achievement.
Matt Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Well Done Hull. No disrespect to Hull but I can see Derby's record being beaten though.
davieG Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Surely it's better to go up through the play-offs than 2nd position?More ticket sales, Wembley and you get a trophy! Ridiculous. Except it's not guaranteed - ask Bristol City! It also delays your planning for life at the top.
Benjani Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Except it's not guaranteed - ask Bristol City!It also delays your planning for life at the top. Obviously you want to be in the top 2, but whoever does get promoted via play-offs will be happier in the end. And hardly, everyone is on holiday now anyway.
Matt Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Going up through the playoffs is awesome isn't it?! I love the playoffs, It's nervous and stressful when your involved but going up through the playoffs i'd say is better than winning the league, also a horrible, sick, awful feeling when you lose.

Better than winning the league? Is that a joke or are you being serious.
lildave3 Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Better than winning the league? Is that a joke or are you being serious. Serious, and I agree.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Great goal from Dean. If he is still at Hull next season then he will certainy be a match for defenders such as Vidic, Carragher and Terry.
Father Ted Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Great goal from Dean.If he is still at Hull next season then he will certainy be a match for defenders such as Vidic, Carragher and Terry. He'll run them off the pitch
Simi Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Better than winning the league? Is that a joke or are you being serious. I agree with him. Much, much better.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 How much does a team recieve for going up through the play offs?
Benjani Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 I agree with him. Much, much better. Serious, and I agree. Well I suppose you go up as the biggest underdogs in the league, which can be good. And a trip to Wembley would be fantastic. As I said earlier, top 2 has to be a priority because anything can happen in the play-offs. But Im sure the feeling is amazing once your up at Wembley and will actually feel better than going up automatically. But better safe than sorry. But we'll be at Wembley next season anyway, JTP final

Depends what you mean by everyone, there's more to planning for life in the Premier League than getting players in. Pricing, merchandising, sponsorship etc, etc. people involved in these activety will only get a couple of weeks holiday and I doubt many of them will take it in May.
Jay Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Obviously you want to be in the top 2, but whoever does get promoted via play-offs will be happier in the end.And hardly, everyone is on holiday now anyway. Except for the Agents who make football tick no doubt Phil Brown will have 100's of faxes and messages over the weekend from greedy agents pimping their hoes/footballers trying to get a move as they are now promoted!! Agents certainly don't put their feet up this time of year
