Please be Davies

If Howard and Oakley are still here and he is appointed, would be very interesting to see how those two play in matches. Could say a lot about them and Holloway.

Mandaric Sets June Deadline

Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric hopes to make a decision over manager Ian Holloway's future by the beginning of June.

Holloway's position at the Walkers Stadium is uncertain following the club's relegation to League One.

Mandaric is determined to do 'what is best for the club', and hopes that a period of reflection will assist him in making the correct decision.

Responsible

"I am not even giving total support to myself. Am I a good chairman or not? It starts with me, and then goes all the way down - including the manager," he told Sky Sports News.

"I think I am entitled to look at that. I am in the firing line, I am responsible.

"I am the one who is going to support the club financially so I will do what is best for the club; not necessarily for Ian Holloway or Milan Mandaric.

"I am looking to make a decision no later than the first or second week of June. You need to give the manager time to review their staff and players. A total reorganisation of the club."

I would bet a significant sum of money that one of those applicants is John Gregory, he's applied pretty much every time the job has become available for years now.

I wonder if he seals the envelope containing his application with his own greasy hair?

My all time favourite Milan quote in this video. "If Gary Megson had stayed we'd have made at least the playoffs" How can he POSSIBLY say that? Who knows what would have happened if he'd stayed? How good would his signings have been? Would we have played too defensive? So many questions, all will never get answered.

I Don't Want To Scare The Life Out of You

BUT I am getting insider reports from betting shops of shedloads of money going on Gregory and Kevin Bond for the Leicester job.

Anyone spot the old Pompey connections?

A disaster on both fronts I'm being told.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Bookies know shit about who is going to be appointed, they simply count the money flow.

thats as maybe................... but thats an awful lot of money for the odds to fall as dramatically as that

So if they're not in the top 6 would you want them to go or given time to do the job?

Sorry, missed your reply before.

I think if we're somewhere around the play-offs and the team is performing well, we'd be mad to go changing it again. If we were in contention with the leading pack and the team has got more of a buzz, you have to call that a solid base and a start to this ridiculous 3 year plan that Mandaric is still babbling about. Whether we miss out on or in the play offs would be irrelevant because the first thing to re-establish is the winning mentality, so you build a team that can challenge and then go from there, looking for continuous improvements. If we lost out in the play offs or came close, would anyone really want to sack the manager?

The situation we're in now is similar to the one we were in when Brian Little came in but a division lower. The new man needs to build up the club year on year in the same way Little did and if that means an extra season down with the dead men then so be it.

The club should be in the Premier League but we all need to accept that we haven't got Premier players anymore and that we won't attract them being where we are. We need to start over, be realistic and for God's sake, be patient.

I'll accept I didn't exactly phrase that first post correctly, btw davieG

Dont rule out Nigel Pearson better bet than him who used to be manager of the sheepshaggers

Nigel Pearson? :o

Personally i couldnt give a fcuk which club a manager has previously managed.

I'd be happy with Billly D and it wouldnt bother me in the slightest that he'd managed Derby.
