Simi Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 Anyone going to see him on his tour coming up? Booked tickets today for the De Mont gig.
Flynny Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 Ah crap, I can't book owt that far in advance cos I've not a clue what city I'll be in until A-level results day. If I'm still in Leicester and tickets are left come August I'll be going to that though.
Bryn Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 Lost all respect for him when I saw how unfunny he was without a script on various programs.
Number 6 Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 he annoys me on mock the week because he always tries to take over the show
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 Anyone going to see him on his tour coming up?Booked tickets today for the De Mont gig. No, but am seeing Reginald D hunter and Michael McIntyre this year. Lost all respect for him when I saw how unfunny he was without a script on various programs. In all fairness, he does write alot of material for panel shows like 8 out of 10 cats for example.

Uncle Monty Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 Don't really think he is that funny, just sarcastic and mardy, wait actually i think i love him
andyh1884 Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 I went to see Frankie Boyle in Wolverhampton at the end of April, he was absolutely fantastic. Some of his material is borderline offensive & not very 'pc', a lot of it he can't get away with on things like Mock the Week. Saw Michael McIntyre recently too, another brilliant comedian.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 Saw Michael McIntyre recently too, another brilliant comedian. Saw him at the comedy festival and it only persuaded me to see him more and more.
andyh1884 Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 Saw him at the comedy festival and it only persuaded me to see him more and more. Me too. Going to see him again in November. Also going to see Paddy McGuiness, Jason Manford, Dara O'Brian & Ed Byrne this year. Saw Russell Howard & John Bishop in March. I love a comedy gig, me!
The Stig Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 He's great on Mock the Week and rubbish on everything else he's been on, however I haven't seen him live.

Finnegan Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 The format of Mock The Week suits him, anyone expecting his live show to be the most gripping piece of stand up will be sorely disappointed, though

Joe. Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Mock the Week is his live show. Definitely. The man practically runs it.
Libertine Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Definitely. The man practically runs it. I mean they all just use their stand-up material on MTW.
Joe. Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 I mean they all just use their stand-up material on MTW. I stand by my point.
Simi Posted 17 November 2008 Author Posted 17 November 2008 I mean they all just use their stand-up material on MTW. A lot of what he did last night hadn't been used, some of it obviously, but it was still class.
