The People's Hero Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 TPH, we may have missed the boat on this one, but even with the massive house price inflation we may yet get it for about £3.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/645760.stm For the sake of THE DREAM, please don't look at the restoration costs £1? Let's buy it and worry about the err.... 'costs' later.

ibbosuk Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 The People's Hero' I'm genuinely ashamed of this club and the way it's being run.
the beange Posted 24 June 2008 Posted 24 June 2008 Lets be honest over the years we have been on a downwards spiral and yet we still go to watch the lads week in week out We have a chairman that employs managers that we all know will do crap and will more than likely put the club in a worse position yet we still back the manager when they are here. We have some players that used to perform well and it looks like they have basically given up on what talent we thought they had (main focus would be fatt matt), yet in most cases we tend to stick by them wishing they get that one goal that will set them going. We have a ground that we must average about 20,000 every week and probably 75% of that number will not get behind the lads and chant then have the nerve to say on the phone in's that the team don't have enough backing We used to have brilliant fans at filbert street and since we have moved to the walkers the atmosphere is a joke, but we (a small majority) of fans that do get behind then and chant still in a way try and keep the reputation of a strong vocal backing that we know we should still have. And for once in quite a long time we have money coming in to the club and yet milan is buying in tripe that will be no use to us and a waste of his money ( in most cases) and we all know are bad desisions but we will still hope they hit form with us And i don't really know where this post is leading but felt like i'd have a little rant Basically saying we're loyal fans and will be for a while to come because it Leicester
ceebeefox Posted 24 June 2008 Posted 24 June 2008 My milkman asked me if I had renewed again and seemed shocked when I said of course. He finished going down after we were relegated from the foreign pufters league. Then I went into a rant about the club and what I wanted, it was like therapy I said............... 1) I genuinely do not care what league we are in as I only watch Leicester, I could not give a monkeys about seeing other teams players unless we can compete with them on an even footing, He seemed shocked at this but it's true I only see the blue shirts! 2) I need to see a passing team again. I am sick of seeing no pattern of play, now we have bottomed out (surely?) we can surely assemble a side that can pass through the teams in the 3rd tier? 3) Please Nigel play the kids, Levi left wing Gradel right , then 2 young pacey full backs backing them up. 4) Sign a leader. McCauley wasn't one, he didn't say boo to a goose all match. Maybe Darren Moore could be like Bob Hazell was in the 80's for us? 5) Ship out some strikers and sign 2 if one has to be a big lump make him able to run. I would personally like us to play such a pacey passing game that 2 mobile strikers would fit the pattern I want to see. Rant and therapy over.
Guest Posted 24 June 2008 Posted 24 June 2008 I still think going to the games drunk is the only solution. Sobriety sucks.

I don't know why the atmosphere is so different nowadays. The acoustics excuse is crap, because we saw against Wednesday what an atmosphere we can create.

iancognito Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 What about for those of us who don't drink?I could overdose on Chewits I suppose Or those new Starburst Twisted things. Go on, mix your drinks!

The acoustics excuse is crap, because we saw against Wednesday what an atmosphere we can create. Seems to me you could overcome any acoustics problem by using the PA system to "reflect" the crowds noise back to it like well designed stadia do.
hairy Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 What about for those of us who don't drink? Have you ever tried LSD? Space cakes?
