DBEightyFive Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I just asked my brother if he was wearing his Topps Tiles Leicester shirt next season and he said no, he was going to wear a different one. I asked him why not and he just said "because thats the shirt we were relegated in". Are you going to wear it next season? Possibly go back to an old shirt or not wear one at all? Come to think about it, even just looking at mine hanging the wardrobe brings back memories of the final day and what it meant. We were wearing that shirt the day we got relegated. Bit of a stupid topic but it just got me going.
Moreton Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I know what you mean Dano. It is the shirt we got relegated in. I shall still wear it next season though as like DB11 said, it is our current shirt so i shall carry on wearing it untill we get a better one.
DBEightyFive Posted 19 June 2008 Author Posted 19 June 2008 I'll definitely be wearing mine again...if we get promoted, the memories of the shirt will be made good again.

Asha Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I'll definitely be wearing mine again...if we get promoted, the memories of the shirt will be made good again. Yeah agreed. Forget superstition mate, it's not the reason we wen't down, and whether fans wear/don't wear this season's won't affect us at all next season. Interesting what people come out with though, quality topic.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 It's a shite design, which is why I didn't buy it, so definitely won't be wearing it this season.
Moreton Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 Retro is the way to go!Today's football is GAY! The past is where it is at Yeah! I might just buy me self a old city shirt from like the 70's and wear that. Quality: I just like it. Simple yet effective. No advertisements, they ruin it TBH
Ashley Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I hardly wear my Leicester shirt to games so no. I wear it when I play football and go out.
DB11 Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 Yeah! I might just buy me self a old city shirt from like the 70's and wear that. Quality: I just like it. Simple yet effective. No advertisements, they ruin it TBH You'll look cool
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I bought my girlfriend one - she wears it all the time, but she looks good in it so it's a kind of pleasure pain thing. (Never thought I'd get a women to wear one.) Ironically, the saturday's she wore the shirt, Leicester won, so maybe i should dump her for not wearing it on saturday's enough! And sponsors suck when they're as rubbish as Tops Tiles - I'd much rather have 'Babecast' plastered across our shirts!

Father Ted Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I'll definitely be wearing mine again...if we get promoted, the memories of the shirt will be made good again. Same here. But I do also assosciate it with relegation, just like Chelsea Dagger aswell. Yeah! I might just buy me self a old city shirt from like the 70's and wear that. Quality: I just like it. Simple yet effective. No advertisements, they ruin it TBH In the summer at like 25C
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 Follow the link. I'm not going to say she looks shite in it, just in case she's reading over my shoulder am i - but luckily she's gone to make the tea - so... She wouldn't win!
Asha Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 You'll look cool You strike me as someone who would wear a bright orange sweatshirt with a picture of a helicopter on.
Flynny Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I'm getting "League 1" on the back next time I'm down there, which might be a bit yet come to think of it.
DB11 Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 You strike me as someone who would wear a bright orange sweatshirt with a picture of a helicopter on. I heard they're all the range?
Flynny Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I heard they're all the range? Ahahaha, all the range. I like it.
SamL Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 I don't think relegation will change when I wear my shirts. Some games I wear it to, others I don't. I'll be glad when there's a new shirt out.

I'll be happy when we get a decent sponsor and get a decent sports wear company to make the kits, something like Umbro..
DBEightyFive Posted 19 June 2008 Author Posted 19 June 2008 Same. I'll be happy when we get a decent sponsor and get a decent sports wear company to make the kits, something like Umbro.. We'll be back with Fox Leisure before we get something like Umbro or Nike.
Asha Posted 19 June 2008 Posted 19 June 2008 Same. I'll be happy when we get a decent sponsor and get a decent sports wear company to make the kits, something like Umbro.. Although in League One, we'll find it harder to attract decent sports companies. I agree though mate, hate Topps Tiles. Hate Jako.
