YamYam Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Wolves fan here i come in Peace. Just wondering what his natural game is, what is he good at where does he have to improve? and do you think he will be a good signing for us, I thougth he would go to the Premership if i am been honest.

I'd say he's quite attacking and hard working. Could do with putting a little muscle on though, but depends which position you're going to play him. It could turn out to be a bargain for you in a few years.
YamYam Posted 25 June 2008 Author Posted 25 June 2008 We was talking about this, i understand he is a Rightback, but can play Cenre Half, we have a young Irish International called Foley at Right back so carnt see him been played their.
Milky Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Never played at centre back in over 100 appearances, and it sounds like you want to play him CB. Can't pass Decent wingers regularly have his pants down, ie chris brunt. Suspect positioning. erm....
SamL Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 ..or not. Well, I thought he'd improved that aspect of his game in the back end of last season.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 He has nice hair - if you like that sort of thing. Run's like something that run's a lot all day. Was one of our top scorers last season.
Simi Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Well, I thought he'd improved that aspect of his game in the back end of last season. I disagree. Always been bad going forward. Poor, poor crosser of the ball and rarely finds himself in decent enough posistions to support attackers.
morris1234 Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 pro's good touch quite skillfull good tackler can challenge in the air well has the ability to be in the right place at the right time can (sometimes) cross a good ball hard working cmposed cons not the quickest aimlessly lumps the ball up field can be too attacking sometimes can be too cocky especially on the ball seriously needs to bulk up a bit decision making can be poor (last home game of the season against sheff wed, shoot richard SHOOT! and hes lost it, and shit theyve scored, remember, sorry for bringing up the bad memories people lol ) and the lad needs to sort his hair and his ears out overall hes a cracking hard working player, he was getting criticised quite badly by the fans at one point but really proved us wrong with some amazing performances. and only 20 years old, youve got a bargain personally as i wanted around 2 to 2.5 but oh well! im just annoyed that he said he was staying but now hes gone, but oh well!
Milky Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Watch out for his lame little trick he does EVERY game. This silly little flick inside. Often seen in totally uneccessary situations, and often when no player is anywhere near him! trust me. It's every game.

He was, without any doubt, the biggest pile of wank in the side up until Holloway's appointment. His inconsistency turned into outright crap as he frequently got caught on the ball or just hoofed at the first opportunity. Then he became reasonable - which was better than almost everyone else in the side...but that's not saying a lot as you probably saw. Will he be good? Depends on which Stearman you get - the one who wants to apply himself and do an average job or the one who sulks, doubts his own ability and bottles it. I suspect you'll get both and end up wondering how anyone could have thought he'd be a decent signing.

Milky Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 pro'sgood touch quite skillfull good tackler - he does make some good challenges at times can challenge in the air well - often beaten in the air. Colchester goal away the prime example has the ability to be in the right place at the right time can (sometimes) cross a good ball cmposed cons not the quickest aimlessly lumps the ball up field can be too attacking sometimes can be too cocky especially on the ball seriously needs to bulk up a bit decision making can be poor (last home game of the season against sheff wed, shoot richard SHOOT! and hes lost it, and shit theyve scored, remember, sorry for bringing up the bad memories people lol ) and the lad needs to sort his hair and his ears out
YamYam Posted 25 June 2008 Author Posted 25 June 2008 If he sulks, doubts his own ability and bottles it. he wont last long at Molineux our crowd are very partizan and will let him know his performances arnt up to standard.
p_unit4eva Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 the people on this website make me laugh. a few weeks ago you were saying how richard stearman can be next years captain, now everyone said hes sh1t. rubbish fans. have a word with yourselfs
RowlattsFox Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 He thinks he has a long throw.....he doesn't. The quality when he is forward is not the best but he is always willing to get forward, on the overlap etc and he will probably chip in with a couple of goals a season.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 He's getting a bit of a raw deal as I suspect anyone who leaves will. You'd be better off trying to find a thread about him from about March/April time to get a realistic view of how he played last season. Our fans tend to forget he's still only 20 and has a lot of potential if he gets some decent coaching staff to work under - we haven't had decent coaching staff since the O'Neill days from what I can work out - we turn some very decent players into absolute shitboxes.

Me and my brother like to call it the shortest long throw in the game.

Many credited Stearman (dear wolf, please learn to spell his name properly ) with more commitment and loyalty than he actually possessed.
Guest Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 I've never seen anyone penalised for foul throws as much as that lad.
Unabomber Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 He thinks he has a long throw.....he doesn't. So true

Can't read, can't write and you have problems with coherent thought - someone ban this colostomy bag before he ruptures all over half of the forum.
YamYam Posted 25 June 2008 Author Posted 25 June 2008 You dont seem to rate him and much as i thougth, surely he wouldent have got voted player of the season if he was that bad.
