Jordan Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 Funny that you made that joke, b/c aren't lefties a little more likely than righties to be gay? I have a little brother who's a lefty, and a while back, I bought him a bunch of lefty-customized things (scissors ) for his birthday. The presumptive presidential nominees for both major American political parties--Barack Obama of the Democratic Party and John McCain of the Republican Party--are left-handed, so the next President of the United States of America be a lefty. On January 20, 2009, five of the last 25 American presidents will be lefties--that's a 1-in-1,000 longshot, so either this is purely an anomaly or lefties have a real knack for the political.

Perhaps being gay helped
Jordan Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 With all the unintentionally hilarious gay sex scandals in American politics in recent years, perhaps...
davieG Posted 29 June 2008 Author Posted 29 June 2008 No wonder you talk crap! Gibberish I like to call it.
AoWW Posted 29 June 2008 Posted 29 June 2008 I'm left handed, all the best people are. I'm not though.
The People's Hero Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 Yes I'm Left handed I believe the phrase is 'cack-handed'.
Guest Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 I believe the phrase is 'cack-handed'. It's actually "superior", but I'll let you off this time.
Katy Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 I believe the phrase is 'cack-handed'. I love that term, not just in describing southpaws but in general.
Alexikokopops Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 My girlfriend's is a left-handed vegetarian from North Yorkshire. I don't know how I find them.
DB11 Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 At this fact I found: A minimum of 2500 left-handed, per year, die from using right-handed products.
lookwhaticando Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 Thank fook Lookydo's normal (well, in a 'writes with the right hand' kinda way!) I wouldn't like to venture an opinion in other respects. First time anyone's ever said that. And I'm not completely normal, anyway. I may write with the right, but I eat with the left. I mean my knife is in my left hand as I use a knife and fork. To eat. People.

Guest Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 At this fact I found: And you questioned a left handed awareness day?
Lillehamring Posted 30 June 2008 Posted 30 June 2008 The shame you must have brought on your parents. hey, and don't forget his poor humilated offspring ...mind you, mr davieg is a bit of a southpaw traitor, as he used to play golf right handed, and i genuinely can't remember seeing him write left-handed, at least he certainly didn't do those daft backwards ticks...

It's more natural. For the record, I can read and write normally, backwards, upside down, and upside down and backwards. It's a useful skill.

The golf clubs were so you could use them I couldn't afford more than one set, so buying them set back my golfing career by decades. I've just bought some cheapo left handed ones - watch my career take off now. Haven't seen me write left handed, where have you been all your life? Not doing backward ticks was part of the pain and humiliation I sought to avoid. PS Are you still coming over on Thursday?
