Like a lot of the people think i'm saying stick with him as long as the midfields good, him and Cox up-front with a backup Fryatt should work if we get players like Surman and Ambrose in.

Annoying thing is.. some of the morons who sit near me at the WS are STILL spouting that shit about him!

Pleased my name wasn't in there calling the bloke. He was always going to cause major problems in this League and that goes for Fryatt too.

People should remember that our creativity last season was virtually non existent. Holloway and co persisted with people who were never the sort of players who might have given the strikers a chance. And no specialist wingers whatsoever.

Gradel was sent off on loan and Kingy, scandalously, sat and twiddled his thumbs and there was no-one around like Dyer.

It wasn't as if the problems weren't recognised and mentioned early enough but that was the way we chose to play and it's little wonder that the likes of Oakley, Howard and Fryatt all struggled.

Oakley's looked a new man this season cos he's had people to share the considerable workload and Howard/Fryatt have benefitted from knowing that there will be opportunities every match - and from playing together regularly in their proper positions.

Don't know really, I'll wait and see if he's any better in the matches against MK Dons and Stockport.

He was, much better, and has been extremely consistent this season.

Pearson should get praised for making him such a valuable player.

Well this thread was interesting reading.... lol

Certainly was..

But at least I was in distinguished company.

He shouldn't be forgiven for his lack of interest in almost every game last season, lack of ability is understandable but he wasn't bothered and that wasn't more evident than in the biggest match of our history.

I for one won't be happy till he's out of this club.

lol head down.

Great Bump Joe Dot.

My opinion hasn't change, he's crap and just because some little gang on here loves him. Most people at the walkers still think he's cack. Everyone i speaked too, thinks he's cack and i for one think we need to get rid of him now.

Nothing pleases me more than when a player Ive been saying negative stuff about turns it around and proves me wrong because that means theyve been good for the club and thats what we all want at the end of the day! (not that I was ever a Howard hater). I was all for getting shot at Fryatt last Summer... first half of this season at least he made me eat my words ( albeit thanks to Howard mostly!)

Im hoping Mattock will prove me (and a lot of others) wrong next season. I dont have any problem with that.

I can't believe this thread even exists after him leading the poll for player of the season.

Everyone were shit last season weren't they?

Does that mean no one who has previously played shit in the Championship can therefore play there again? Do you not think our players have a different mindset now from a year ago, about a winning mentality?

Shocking, call yourseves fans!? No wonder this club has struggled in the past, even when we're winning we're slagging the players off.

Fortunately your opinion counts for fuck all and only goes to prove that there is a proportion of our support that knows sweet FA about football.

Look at when Ash posted his diatribe

Yes. He hasn't changed his opinion between then and now but he's clearly been proved wrong on this one

Does it matter? He is part of a team that is top, scored 15 and assisted in plenty more.

He's not perfect but we could've had a lot worse this season by a long way.
