Daggers Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 The price for the pre-season friendly against Leicester City this coming saturday have been set by the club at £7 for adults and £3 for concessions. It will be pay on the gate. Leicester have confirmed today they will send their full first team squad and new signings for the game. This will be the only chance to see their new squad before they fly out to Slovenia. It will be nothing new for Bulgarian international midfielder Radostin Kishishev, who is set to return to the Marston's Stadium on Saturday eager to make up for a lost season. Kishishev last year found himself cast aside in the reserves - who played their home games at Hinckley United - as City were relegated from the Championship. He described the campaign as a "disaster" after he made just four starts following his summer arrival under Martin Allen and City were relegated. The experienced Bulgaria international, who won the last of his 80 caps in October, hopes to return to the Marston's Stadium on Saturday - this time for City's first pre-season friendly against Hinckley. "I know the Hinckley stadium very well," he joked, in reference to his second team stint last season. "The first game of pre-season is there to get a bit more fitness, to feel the ball and I am sure there will be two different teams. For me it's like last year when I came here and started thinking about showing my best for the manager to see my qualities. I have to prove myself because last year was very bad for me personally and the club. I have to prove my qualities and that I can still play football." Another player looking to pick himself up for the coming season is wideman Levi Porter. He is relishing the chance to rebuild his career under Nigel Pearson. The 21 year old is back in action after a career threatening knee injury and is targeting a place in the starting line-up when City meet Hinckley United in their first pre season friendly at the Marston's Stadium on Saturday. Porter is optimistic that the bad times are behind him after being carried off with cruciate ligament damage in the 4-3 Carling Cup defeat at Chelsea last October. Now, after recovering from surgery on the damaged knee, he is back in pre season training with his teammates and targeting a return to competitive action. "It has been an unsettling time, but now it is a new start, a new season, so let's see what happens," said Porter, "The new manager has come in and Richard Stearman and I played under him with the England Youth team. I know him from that and he is a very fair guy and will do the right thing. "He has laid it out straight to us that, if we don't do this or don't do that, we face the consequences so it is just a case of getting down to hard work. The first week you have to get used to it and get right into it and, hopefully, it will get a lot easier. I can't wait for the chance to play at Hinckley. If I can get a game under my belt, it will be brilliant." Kick off is 3pm with the bar open from 12 noon. A large turnout is expected with fans advised to arrive early.
