£15 Student Ticket V Mk Dons

Recommended Posts

First of all hello, this is my first post on the site :)

I went on the LCFC site today to look at the prices for there first game. I think the ticket price is a bit expensive, £15 to watch a division 1 (league 2) team, not to be nasty but Leicester don't exactly play the best style of football.

I think £11/12 would be a fairer price.

Agree/Disagee?

Sorry if I put this in the wrong section.

It's all relative, they're all expensive £23 for adults, £21 for Seniors on that basis £15 isn't too bad.

Yeah I can see were your coming from, from that aspect, although WBA do £20 a ticket to some of there home games, I just think its a bit steep for £15 for a game in a league 2 below the top league.

Thats how much you will have to pay. Get used to it.

Football is a business aswell.

Leicester's ticket prices are toward the upper end of League One prices, but its one of those situations where the system as a whole is a bit messed up, there's no way of being able to cut prices without reducing costs, which given the relegation would mean getting rid of half the squad so its just one of those things. The club isn't making endless stacks of cash like some premiership teams that charge £60-a-pop, so there's no alternative. Besides, the £15 student prices used to be £21 like the OAP ones so there's nothing to complain about at all, really.

Yeah most football tickets are overpriced, but so are most things. If you like something you buy it, and I for one like watching Leicester whenever ever I can and am more than willing to pay £15 to do so whatever division we are in.

I think WBA will be getting the benefit of a higher revenue stream elsewhere, to be fair.

You can't base ticket prices on how exciting the football is.

Think how cheap last seasons games would have been if it were :D (apart from the odd one or two)

lol I dont like getting drunk before a game, not in the mood to get stabbed by some chav on the walk up to the ground (unless your buying the drinks :D )

I would not mind paying the £15 by the few times I watched Leicester Last season, they were shocking, were sort of paying the players wages, I expect for them to at least try there best. (although I did go to wtch them V WBA with a 4-1 win  )

Yeah welcome too mate.

I agree it's overpriced and not value money sometimes, but we don't have to pay our money and watch...it's the choice that we make I guess.

Yeah I suppose thats a good way to put it. I just think that Leicester need to adopt some sort of system, if they don't play well, the fans get a certain percentage of the price of there ticket back, I have no idea how to implement this though. I heard Portsmouth were thinking of doing something similar I don't know how far they got with the idea though.

It'd be great wouldn't it but unfortunately clubs use these ticket sales as a key income.

It's nearly unheard of for a club to give the fans some money back for a poor performance, think it may have happened once over the last 10 years but a full standing system on that basis will never exist.

How the hell would you know? He says he thinks the prices are a bit steep and you say he's not a true fan? For all you know he could have gone to every game this year. Arse.

Anyway I completly agree. The prices are a bit steep but unfortunatly so are prices everywhere so we're just going to have to live with it. Oh and welcome to the forum.
