billyfox1 Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 mid-season at a guess. won't be yet cos it might stop people buying the away one
lookwhaticando Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Funnily enough, none of last seasons training range got cheap at all, unlike the previous few seasons where the prices were slashed beyond Christmas each time. I'm wondering if the replica kit will go the same way.
Alexikokopops Posted 16 July 2008 Author Posted 16 July 2008 Mid-season? Balls. I want to get a cheap one now!
billyfox1 Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Mid-season? Balls. I want to get a cheap one now! i'm only guessing. it could be sooner just unlikely
lavrentis Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 I am also in need of the home one to be cheap as my topps tiles logo is dodgy.
Jimmy2Drags Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 I am also in need of the home one to be cheap as my topps tiles logo is dodgy. Oh yeah.....just your logo that's dodgy, eh.......
Daggers Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Mid-season? Balls. I want to get a cheap one now! They've been cheap and nasty from the outset - the worst quality shirt in memory. You can see the logo starting to peel off people's shirts within weeks of buying them. What you want is one of those nice red one's they're bringing out next year. That's what you want.
Halfsy Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 I managed to get my hands on the current home shirt for just £14 on eBay. Someone obviously has given up on us now we are in League 1. Thinknig of getting League 1 Tour on the back of it!

Are you saying that's a bad thing?

I've had mine a year and I've had nothing like that. I don't know how people manage it

Mighty Muzzy Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 My guess is that the shirt will not go cheap until the January sales at the earliest.
James. Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Mid-season? Balls. I want to get a cheap one now! You mean to say Virgin don't offer cheap replica football shirts as an employee benefit... I'm disgusted.

Honestly I think this logo is holding up pretty well. When they did the Leicester and Alliance logo in small pieces, now that was a fricking annoyance to go round the flat trying to find the bloody 'r', which constantly kept falling off......
iancognito Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 It should come free with a pack of floor tiles or something In fact you don't ever see Topps doing promotions like Walkers did. I remember they used to get pretty cheerleader types to throw packs of crisps into the crowd at Filbert Street. They could go lobbing packs of grout and adhesive into the family club as freebies.... ...just a thought
Daggers Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Honestly I think this logo is holding up pretty well I'll take your word for it, it just looked crap to me - like a 70's T-shirt iron-on transfer.

Handwash the shirt and the quality lasts (of course when I say quality I mean that in the lightest possible sense)
stevie909 Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 we needto switch back to wearing the white change shorts at home, it looks so much better.
billyfox1 Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 I'll take your word for it, it just looked crap to me - like a 70's T-shirt iron-on transfer. It does look like a 70's T-shirt iron-on transfer but it seems to stay on fine
Alexikokopops Posted 17 July 2008 Author Posted 17 July 2008 You mean to say Virgin don't offer cheap replica football shirts as an employee benefit... I'm disgusted. Unfortunately not. I can get 25% off laser eye surgery though. How odd. Handwash the shirt and the quality lasts (of course when I say quality I mean that in the lightest possible sense) Or just turn it inside out when you put it in the wash.
Daggers Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Unfortunately not. I can get 25% off laser eye surgery though. How odd. You don't want to do that - you want the full 100% laser eye surgery or you might not be able to see properly afterwards. You might have to resign from Virgin and become a professional referee. On a totally unrelated matter - I like the new blue shirts in the shop. I may get one of these come August.

Would have liked to have seen an up to date version of that badge brought back for the 125th anniversary. Like Chelski did with their badge in 2005.

May get that instead of the home kit..may hold up better too.
