NorthernFox Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 I hope that I never again have to hear the screams of pain that my 12 year old daughter made tonight when she needed six injections directly into an open gash on her knee which resulted in eleven stitches. She de man. I am totally drained and am heartfully proud of the bravest girl in the whole wild world. In the words of knobby scot A gray, take a bow girl, take a bow

If this thread was "Things that should never be seen" I would win.

Halfway thru anastethics wore off - 5th & 6th needle broke my heart. I had to convince her to get them because pain of stitching would be greater. Who would be a dad.....

Jeeez, must've been horrible. The main thing is, that she's going to be ok and back on the mend. Just remember how proud you are of your daughter - That's why you're a dad.
Wycombe Fox Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Hope she's OK. As a parent there's nothing worse than one of your children being in pain.

NorthernFox Posted 18 July 2008 Author Posted 18 July 2008 Thanks to all for the kind words. Jade is feeling a lot better today although her leg is very stiff. Right about presents and sweets although a bowl of her dads prawn curry will soon sort her out.
DB11 Posted 19 July 2008 Posted 19 July 2008 Hope she gets better soon - wonder if it has put her off of needles / injections http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/comments/...715-661,00.html “We found out last Tuesday he was on the shortlist to play in the under-14s state soccer as goalkeeper. He was going to be the next Mark Schwarzer,” she said. Still, RIP
