Phillip Lowry

INSTITUTE'S talented midfielder Philip Lowry could be on his way out of the club, with English Coca/Cola League One side Leicester City keeping a close eye on him.

The Limavady lad who is selected for the Northern Ireland Elite Squad for next week's Milk Cup competition, has attracted attention earlier in the summer from Derry City, while it's thought Irish League champions Linfield have also been in touch with 'Stute boss John Gregg.

Nigel Pearson's side, who have Northern Ireland duo Steve Beaglehole and Gerry Taggart as part of their coaching set-up at the Walkers Stadium, are thought to want the Roe Valley teenager over for a trial.

"Philip has been selected for the Northern Ireland Elite and their manager is Steve Beaglehole, who's Academy director at Leicester City and Northern Ireland Under 21 boss, but having spoke to Gerry Taggart (Leicester's Reserve Manager), he still wants to bring Philip over for a week to have a look at him," said Gregg.

"I also know that at least one other English club is tracking Philip, while a host of eircom League of Ireland and Irish League sides have also been in touch with me.

"He'll play in the Milk Cup next week before flying over to Leicester next Sunday for a week's trial, obviously I would gutted to see him leaving, but I wish Philip all the very best in his quest to better himself."

If we were to sign him, I'd expect one of our other midfielders to be out the door.

I think this lad wouldn't be seen as first team material straight from the off. But with King knocking about, we've got cover anyway. I think King might be sent out on loan.

I think it'd be a very worthwhile experience for King to get a season of first team football under his belt. First team chances could be limited here so give him a season on loan with an option to recall him.

I don't know a lot about this Lowry bloke though.

Another one. :frusty::frusty:

It's not 7 right-backs anymore, it's 8 centre-midfielders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aswell as the starting team for Quorn, not happy!

I'd have thought another central midfielder joining would have made you stiff in the panties...

Each new one surely means there's a higher probability a current midfielder is edging closer to the exit? :whistle:

But knowing the club, the only one I want to go is Clemence but he'll stay knowing same old same old Leicester City!

Esala Masi had a 4 year spell at Newcastle United, which was followed by the renaming of a street in the Fijan capital of Suva.

And then Maciu Samaidrawa Dunadamu is a player who i think could be our 20 a season man.
