GianEmmo Zola Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 i thought i read king, sappleton and porter, did well and are part of the first team and the REST will be the reserve team for next season
Houdini Logic Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 Kettering are Conference side, not Blue Square Premier. Another mistake from the muppets on the OS
reynard Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 Keepers - Logan, HendersonDefenders - J.Chambers, Gilbert, Hobbs, Worley, Morrison, Mattock Midfielders - Oakley, Kishishev, Gradel, Wesolowski, Adams, Dyer Upfronters - Hayles, Howard, Campbell, Fryatt, A.Chambers Hayles in no sappleton He has to start going with what he considers his first team soon as we need them to hit the ground running so they need to start playing together. Concerned Tunchev isn't even in the squad. Has his work permit come through yet? If he is not "match fit" then he should play some of the match unless he is just injured. The back line is very inexperienced and the attack still looks prett feeble (really hope we can get a better striker). For me I want to see us start cranking up the performance and anything other than a comfortable win will be disappointing even though it only a pre season friendly.
mmarkie Posted 25 July 2008 Author Posted 25 July 2008 Do you think the trialist will play meaning milos malenovic?

Alexikokopops Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 Kettering are Conference side, not Blue Square Premier.Another mistake from the muppets on the OS The Conference National has been called the Blue Square Premier for over a year.
Thracian Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 No! Pearson as allready quoted that last night was a second string squad and Saturday is a first team squad, you will find that these three wont figure much next season.I think Porter is the most overated player at club so not arsed about him but i quite like King and Sappleton and would like them to go out on loan for a season like Gradel did. Porter is still being eased back to full fitness after injury. He's still wearing supports on both legs and to suggest that he's suddenly become a second teamer is ridiculous. Still not fully-fit Porter has five assists to his name so far from 110 minutes of football. That's one assist roughly every 22 minutes. Of course Porter will feature. Why would any manager not want him to feature? As for King and Sappleton they might have been outside bets for a first team place but three assists for the one and three goals for the other will have been noticed and any manager daft enough to disregard players who can do such things would be an idiot.
clazkel Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 I would love Sappleton to get a proper chance this year, out of the strikers i have seen in the 3 friendlies Sappleton is the striker who has stood out, along with A Chambers. I hope he plays against Birmingham, espcially if the strikers don't perform tomorrow. Please not Howard and DJ up front, it doesn't work! King and Porter also deserve a shout, and also i thought Odhiambo and O'Neil played really well against Quorn especially first half, they supported each other well.

Shame we haven't got a regular reserve league thing going on again this season for this to be done on a more regular basis.
PAULCFC Posted 26 July 2008 Posted 26 July 2008 Kettering are Conference side, not Blue Square Premier.Another mistake from the muppets on the OS The conference is now called the Blue Square Premier........Then there's Blue Square North (Hinckley) and Blue Square South.
J.Lisemore Posted 26 July 2008 Posted 26 July 2008 But isn't the point of pre-season matches to get players match fit?? i was thinking the exact same thing.
