Thracian Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Every one of City's recent managers has looked to bring a new keeper in after seeing what we have here. They can't all be wrong. :D They were wrong on so many things I wouldn't be too sure. Not that I'd lump Pearson into that category. All his signings so far have looked at least half decent so, unusually, I feel quite happy to accept his judgement on the goalkeeper being an improvement on what we've got. I feel a bit for Logan if he's the be the eventual victim. He's a genuinely nice guy, very popular within the club, and I honestly thought his season at Stockport would polish him up for a big push at City this season. But I've no idea where the uncertainty I saw at Luton has come from - new manager, new defence possibly. Whatever, he needs to kick-start his career and it doesn't look likely at City now although it's not impossible that Henderson will be shipped out and Logan retained for cover if City think there's not much difference between the two and that Logan's the better long-term investment.
lildave3 Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Kevin Pressman. That fat bastard must have cost us 10 points that season. He wasn't that bad. He made some great saves.
PAULCFC Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 He wasn't that bad. He made some great saves. He was also beaten by a goal kick.
lildave3 Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 He was also beaten by a goal kick. So was another top keeper (Ray Clemence, Pat Jennings? I don't know, i'm too young) that doesn't necessarily make them a bad keeper.
BoneHead. Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 Would have prefered David N'Gog from Liverpool but as young keepers go he seem like a good talent even if his hair is a bit suspect.

Kilworthfox Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 We needed a new goal keeper as Henderson is prone to ****ups which will cost a division winning side much needed consistency confidence and ultimately points. This guy may be the answer then again.... Give him a chance the rest have had theirs

consty Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 I don't know what all the fuss is about signing a new keeper. The goalkeeping dept is clearly not terribly strong, so it needs bolstering. My suspicion is that Logan is definately the one who will lose out the most - but moving on to a lower league team might be in his best interests. The top job is between Henderson and this new guy.
RedOnRed Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 David Martin is a useful keeper. He played quite a few games for us a few years ago and although very young and inexperienced you could tell he was very promising. He played against us on loan recently and was superb.
jimmer Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 What ever happened to Fulop in the end? did sunderland ever let him go? He was different class
Jonezy Posted 5 August 2008 Posted 5 August 2008 What ever happened to Fulop in the end? did sunderland ever let him go? He was different class Stoke signed Sørensen on a free in the end after they had agreed a price with Sunderland for Fulop. Mistake of a lifetime that one, and thats coming from a fellow Dane. Fulop is still at Sunderland.
