David Martin Makes It Seven

Never heard of the guy, but hopefully NP knows something. Hendo is not exactly a world beater, so a bit of competition for the goalkeeping spot can't be too bad. First thought is a bit meh though.

Well Liverpool have obviously seen something in him as they bought him and stuck him on a long contract, which suggests he's much better than Henderson.

We'll see though like most others I don't think I've seen him play, I'll check though as I think he was at the Dons when I went to watch em at the National Hockey Stadium.

Never seen him play so cannot say if he is any good but i think it is good we have good cover for Hendo in Martin and Logan. Does anyone think that Logan might leave for first team football or do you think he will stay and fight for the number 1 positon?

Martin started his career as a youth-team player with Tottenham Hotspur where he originally played as defender.[1]

Dont see the point to be honest.

The point my friend is hes obviously noticed henderson is crap and so are the other two jokers so hes bought this lad to play first team football. He will probably start with hendo and when weve let 15 goals in from our first 2 games he will bring this lad in.

Good move imo. Logan is crap and Henderson can be suspect at times so it was sensible for NP to bring in another keeper to challenge for the No. 1 spot.

Logan should be shown the door soon enough.

Good move for him as he wouldn't get a look in at Liverpool. Personally I thought Hendo would be no.1 for this season, but NP maybe isn't impressed.

As one or two have said it looks like Logan's days are numbered.

It may be that he's made it clear he needs first team football at this stage of his career anyway, but sadly he's done little to persuade the manager in that direction.

He wasn't at his best against Luton and I don't see any evidence that he's improved particularly as a goalkeeper since his loan to Stockport.

That's a pity because it was an important season for him but I can only now see him moving on now to a similar sort of club.

The Liverpool lad clearly has ability judging by his length of contract and it's nice to see he's been winnjing things, even at a lower level.

Doubtless Hobbs will have put a word in too.

Correct.

Good looking lad also.

Martin and Tunchev will frighten the attackers

Anyone reckon we have a link with liverpool this season. if so decent move by the club, got some cracking youngsters there. ive seen this lad play a couple of times and he fills the goal well and looks to comand the defence (got a cracking set of lungs on him!!) so to those of you saying pointless signing just wait and see i promise you hes a talent.

Where's the Henderson fanclub sprung from?

No harm in this signing. If Henderson starts flapping all over the world again we'd be out of the frying pan and into the towering inferno if we only had Logan to call on.

Pentney and Cisak haven't pulled up any trees yet. You need consistently superb reviews if you're going to challenge for a first-team place as a youth team goalkeeper.

Paul Henderson worst number 1 we have ever had.

:nono: Kevin Pressman. That fat bastard must have cost us 10 points that season.

Pointless. He says he came here for first team experience - I want Hendo to stay in the first team and why would he be better cover than Logan or someone?

Because Logan has to stay inside if it's a sunny day
