Having watched Huddersfield v Stockport yesterday I would say that City have little to worry about from either of these two sides. Generally a lack of pace which hopefully our two flying wingers will exploit. Roll on October 4th!!! (I'll be there in the 'Town' end as both my sons are Huddersfield season ticket holders - sorry about that, too many years living oop north!)

Good match on saterday they started to show that they can pass a ball in the air and on the ground very well. Keep playing like that boys and we will be back in the championship next season but this season comes first of all to think off!!!

I think even Howard might bag 10-15 this season.

I felt that as a new team it was a promising performance on Saturday which should give us some confidence for the year ahead without getting too carried away. I really enjoyed the 1st half but stiil felt that the midfield sat too far back after the break but there were encouraging performances from Gradel, Howard and Oakley. Gradel to live up to the hype, Howard for putting in a shift and Oakley for holding it together. Honourable mention to Dickov for the block on their free kick.

Fair enough they may have not been the best team we'll face this season, but you can only beat what's put in front of you.

I was encouraged by some of the signs on saturday and it was always going to be a slightly tentative affair, new manager, high expectations of a crowd tempted by pre-season performances, lots of young players, older players tarnished by last seasons performances not wanting to get off to a bad start this season.

Let's worry about each opposition in turn and go out and deal with them

Was pleased to see the result. I knew that being on me jollies when the first game kicked off was a good idea... I was just returning to the ol' terracotta as the game was at half time, and with no chance of being able to listen the second half either, I decided to live in ignorant bliss for the remainder of the day. I did sneak a peek at the score late in the evening, and that just made a good day that slightest bit better.

Pretty pleasing result from where I'm sitting.
