fox123 Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Foxes Online match reportIt's a bit basic but does the job. Will be doing a better one for Hartlepool on Tuesday hopefully. Whilst I enjoyed reading your report, I don't see why you needed to revert back to our record signing, this season should be about positives not negatives, its a new start, a new era, lets look forwards not back!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Whilst I enjoyed reading your report, I don't see why you needed to revert back to our record signing, this season should be about positives not negatives, its a new start, a new era, lets look forwards not back! I agree in general, see my posts in the Dickov thread. However, I have read and heard a lot of opinions that Cheltenham were "useless", "rubbish", "appalling" etc and felt a bit of perspective was worth adding. In 1992 I went to a Southern League game at Whaddon Road between Cheltenham and Gloucester. They were still in that league (at the time, the one below the Conference) when we won the League Cup in 97. But yes, generally I agree. New era.

I agree that teams like Cheltenham deserve more respect, the smaller clubs in this division will treat playing us like their cup final, especially when they come to the Walkers. I think getting relegated has done us the World of good to be honest, there has been so much negativity surrounding our club, i suppose you could go back to that fateful cup game against Wycombe. Winning mentality and pride was needed to be installed and if going down a division was needed to drive this club forward then I for one am glad to be going to places like Cheltenham! I'll admit I wasn't best pleased bout Nigel Pearson being installed as Manager infact my words were 'What a boring appointment" I for one am glad to eat my words if it removes the cancer eating away at our club!
davieG Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 The Cheltenham fans seemed quite impressed. http://www.robinsnestforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=22170
lildave3 Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 The Cheltenham fans seemed quite impressed.http://www.robinsnestforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=22170 It feels brilliant when other teams fans praise our club like that. It also feels brilliant to be the Man United of league one
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I thought Leicester were better than Stoke. There problem last season was probably down to keep changing managers affecting things on the pitch. They to me look more like a top championship side than league one side.On reflection I think it will be a long time before we see a team that good at Whaddon Road.High praise indeed.
Thracian Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 He needs a consistent run in the team which i don't think he has had since he joined. But with Fatty and Fatty playing so well, and Dicky we don't really need him. Don't be silly. Dickov's a winger! He won't have time for any striker role if he's acting as minder for Maestro Max.
Raj Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Just got back as i got lost on the way home. Not really.... But Well Done City. Well Done all the fans who went. Lets hope we dont get complacent(which under Pearson im sure wont happen) Lets take each game as it comes along and keep this undefeated League run last as long as possible. Pride,Passion, bollox and abit of success is what is needed back at this Club. Keep it Up!!!
