samuel Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 mathematics obviously not ur strongest subject at school then crylaugh.gif -------------------- Gradel and Fryatt are The Buisness Dan the Fox....I would steer well clear of posts that mock others on their ability to do the basics me old china!....
Daggers Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 I'll be having a good drink tonight. Well done City. Looking forward to reading about FT members who went to this game That was chuffing great! I spent the whole night puking and shitting through the eye of a needle but for 90 minutes I was delighted I made the trip down. Four very well taken goals, a party atmosphere and I'm sure the fifth should have stood. Wank referee mind you. One lad got thrown out for persistent standing - which is always a shame to see seeing as he was at the back....and then everyone started standing making a mockery of the decision to lob him out. Lovely little ground - really small pitch: a tough ground to dominate on which (for the most part) we did. One downside was DJ. He needs to be offloaded, he offers nothing and has no rapore with any other player on the pitch. All in all, well worth climbing off my death-bed for.

My pre-match demands: I don't ask for too much so I'll sayLet's have a clean sheet (no matter who's in goal) An away win 2 league wins on the trot entertainment for the fans including a few goals Friendly anonymous stewards Somewhere to put the flag Easy seating/standing arrangements Non-stop singing Well the team delivered - did Cheltenham play their part and what about the singing

Alexikokopops Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Geez I know it was all the other posts now DB's joined in.FFS we've won 4-0 and we get a mass of posts on my guess at where we will be go and get pissed or something everyone life's too short for this crap. Just to clarify davieG we are top on goal difference...
Halfsy Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Just got back home from a great away day! I stood in the Cheltenham end and our fans at the far end and the side of the ground today were fantastic! A great performance from everyone today!
Daggers Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Well the team delivered - did Cheltenham play their part and what about the singing Two flags got taken down - not sure what happened to them or why they weren't allowed up next to the goal. 'Nam were almost totally silent for almost the entire match - our support was brilliant. Seriously brilliant.
sbfox Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Anyone listen to the interview with Pearson on the BBC? Calling Tunchev 'Tunch' is pure brilliance. I think I'm in love.

The Reverend Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Absolutely fantastic win. 4-0 away from home, it doesnt matter who it is, there are no walkovers in this league (although we are trying our best to disprove that), sounded like there were about 4 match winning performances if not more, and we are really starting to steamroller the opposition which is what we need to do. Massive thumbs up. Shame Howards goal got disallowed, it would of been nice for him to score two league games on the trot.
Corky Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 This is just what we needed, so far we've won three without playing fantastically well. Now we've got the result AND the performance. Delighted to be a Leicester fan tonight. It's not often we win 4-0 away.
Father Ted Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Also, for all those Oakley doubters - he got a goal today and nearly scored another one!
Corky Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Also, for all those Oakley doubters - he got a goal today and nearly scored another one! I had my doubts at the start of the season about his commitment- but he's been excellent, a real leader.
Daggers Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Who said losing to Fulham would result in a hatful of league goals today?
Corky Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Who said losing to Fulham would result in a hatful of league goals today? You were there Daggers. Was it a backlash-type performance from the frustration of losing so late, or were we just much better in quality?
AoWW Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 I can think of a certain sorely-bummed poorly-icky person who's probably a teeny bit gutted he missed this. Ahhh, didn't realise you went in the end. What did you do... shove a cork up your arse or wear a nappy? Who said losing to Fulham would result in a hatful of league goals today? Nope, no recollection of anyone predicting that, I'm afraid.
Head Honcho Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Great performance today. Cheltenham were very poor to be honest but our players were on form and could've scored a few more had we had a better referee.

MC Prussian Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Stinger: "Disappointing start for Derby which we're glad about." That and seeing the end result totally made my day. Had to leave at half-time to go and see my local team play (crap). Top of the league and look at that goal difference!!! Yeah, baby!
Daggers Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 Ahhh, didn't realise you went in the end. What did you do... shove a cork up your arse or wear a nappy? I swallowed four immodium and drove down - slept in the boot of the car for two hours then went to the match. I felt/feel shit but it was well worth it.
Flynny Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 He'll be happy, as I am, that Fryatt has scored again and his partnership with Howard is sounding increasingly stronger the more they play together. I suppose it'll also please him, like it pleases me, goals are coming from midfield as well. And we've managed to play well again away from home and seemingly dictate the majority of the game. Brilliant!I suppose he may be upset that Dickov has played on the right for the first half, but for me Pearson was spot on with leaving Gradel on the bench. Gradel wasn't very good in our first away game, but was immense when he came on against Fulham, and we clearly perked up again today when he came off the bench. Perhaps he could have used Adams on the wing as opposed to Dickov, but I trust his judgement and will not criticise him whilst we're continuing to look good. Fantastic, all in all. Has he posted yet? I've only just got back on. And just to clarify, I'm looking forward to reading it because I'm looking forward to him being happy for a change and us playing some nice football, not because we won without Porter and he used to not like Fryatt or owt like that.
