couple of quotes that may interest you from another forum

Well, that was probably the easiest game Leicester will have all season, they probably did'nt get out of second gear to be fair.

Playing with what was more like a 4-2-4 formation, they tore us apart.

Could and should have been 6 or 7.

Very impressed by Dyer, and I think all the goals were quality finishes, Leicester with quality all over the pitch tore us to shreds, and just shows that we are nowhere near where we need to be.

Their fans were awesome too, singing for 90mins, was a delight to see, and hear.

I know its an easy thing to say, and after Oldham I feel like a stuck record, but I think we have just seen the Champions.

I admit I felt smug seeing the Leicester & Forest fans on the M42 today, knowing their respective destinations. I did not feel quite so smug on the way back.

We are doing exactly what we should be doing - winning comfortably against weak opposition. I can understand us playing it down before every single game, but for me, we should be expected to deal with teams in this manner on a more consistent basis.

Our team is better than last seasons team and we are playing in a lower division - being placed 1st in this league was never a question of if. But when?

We really need to stamp our authority down on this league now and show everybody who is boss.

We are the biggest club in this league - so let's prove it.

I'm well happy.

It's great to see our team and fans are impressing the other clubs.

1 of them took some decent pics of our fans, i'll post them when he uploads

4-0 away victory + top of the league + hume helps derby lose 2-0 + forest lose 5-1 = perfect day to be a leicester fan!

And Covscum lost to Donny Rovers. (They're now my favourite Championship side after beating the Sheep on day one)

When did Carlsberg start doing football results?

I beg to differ! Cheltenham were absolutely awful and we won at a canter.

Aye. I hate this "no walkovers" nonsense. Cheltenham were short of useless.

What a day! We win 4-0 away from home, Derby, Cov and Forest all get stuffed and there is going to be plenty of goals on MOTD! Wonderful!

Also, we're only 1 place behind Derby now :D

It's because we've suffered from complacency in the past. Brighton, Burnley, Rotherham, Crewe all getting results against us when we expected to beat them.

You can only beat what is in front of you. I don't care we're in League 1, I'm just happy we are winning games with flair and commitment.

Quality win against the weakest opposition seen so far.

Great interview given to Ian Stringer by Maybes  bigging up the Lloyd!!

Good day out though and back to back league wins. Just a shame we have a break in the league now as we could do with keeping the momentum up!

Brilliant day out.

Even though I was moisting it walking how many miles to & from the stadium & the dash through the Bull Ring to the station because of a daft engine failure, which for the record, made the train HOT.

But anyway to the matg, a well earned victory, could have been more.

Fantastic support, ecspecially in the second half.

Lovely little ground.

Very pleased.

Lloyd Dyer, my hat is off, great performance.

High-flying adored! City sit top of the table and on this performance it will take a demolition ball to knock them off.

I say "this performance" because we played at controlled half-throttle for a good part of the first half so it's heaven help the opposition when we put a full 90 minutes together with the best set of attackers we can muster.

I said we might give Cheltenham a walloping today and in truth 4-0 let them off lightly. Certainly the referee let them off off one.

Nor was there anything Cheltenham would have done about Fryatt's cross-goal shot which squeezed wide, Kingy's blistering piledriver which flew past the far post or Howard's header which was so close.

They were just three of the selection box of chances we fed on. The monkey of back-to-back League wins tumbled off our shoulders and broke it's miserable neck at last. Our goal difference got a massive boost and 4-0 away sent the perfect message to future opponents that, home or away, their defences will face the most serious examination.

I don't think I've ever heard a home crowd so quiet. Are you sure they weren't cardboard cut-outs? Cos there was more noise in the Horse and Jockey before the game but even there it was all from Leicester fans.

Heroes? The team was full of them and with today's attitude they could collectively have conquered Everest in flipflops. Quite why we scored inside two minutes and effectively trod water for the next 25 I've no idea - a gamer, more talented side might have sighed with relief and taken advantage.

But Cheltenham didn't deserve such respect. In racing terms it was like thoroughbreds against 11 metal horses from some totopoly game and the dice were loaded against them from the off when City shot out of the starting stalls with a goal in two minutes. From then on the home side were playing a game of catch-up they were always going to lose.

Dyer was today's MoM by what most days would have been a distance but was little more than a short head because somehow there was others like Fryatt, King, Howard, Gilbert, Hobbs and Morrison galloping closely in his wake.

Those defenders of ours were like mighty hunters. Too strong, too swift and too sure for Cheltenham to challenge.

In attack, Fryatt looked frisky as a foal in the sunshine and Howard strode around like a footballing Red Rum demanding respect for everything he did.

We didn't just score and make four goals at Cheltenham. We created them and scored them from all sorts of positions and we've not done that for many a year.

It was always coming and I was thrilled to bear witness.

But this wasn't in any way a peak peformance. More a warning across the bows of Division One football. What a thrill it should be when they hit the finishing straight.

I am never going on the train again, FACT!

Fantastic day out though nevertheless, support was decent nothing more 2nd half and terrible in the 1st half by our standards.

But the whole day was made by the train broking down, massive de-tour, name game, Tevez communicating with chinese people, bernie his usual self on the train, maybes getting to know him lol

Jut another fantastic day out :chant:

Oh: and the wolves fans at the station and on the train. OH MAXI GRADEL!!

Well I saw a white stretch limo with what appeared to be drunken females in? That's obviously not why we noticed it like...

But yeah, we saw it so you probably saw me. You lucky chap.

Don't want to be a party pooper, and, we can only play the teams who are put in front of us.. BUT, Let's not get carried away! It was a very, very poor Cheltengham team, who look as if they will be fighting against religation this season. We failed to break down an also poor Stockport side remember!

We are playing well, so far yes. we will face much stiffer opposition this sason. wait till we play reams like, Carlisle, Oldham or Leeds. Then, and only then, will we be able to judge have we are progressing.
