Darkzzz_ Posted 19 October 2008 Author Posted 19 October 2008 Going to watch Napoli in 2 weeks. They have been superb of late. I really hope it lasts because they have some special players at that club. I agree with the comment above "Hamsik" is a beast.

I'm currently trying to get my hands on tickets to see Dortmund Vs Monchengladbach at the Westfalenstadion on December 13th. Hopefully my friends will be up for it and it'll be a goer.

Actually, slow down, Real VS Valencia at the Bernabeu on the 21st December? Tempted. Severely tempted.
Darkzzz_ Posted 20 October 2008 Author Posted 20 October 2008 Now that would be a cool game. I have never watched Madrid. I only ever go to the Camp Nou. Actually that reminds me, I need to check tickets for the Catalan derby next year.
Floating Fox Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Just watched the live match from Friday Bochum vs BMG, quality support from the away end. Probably 5/6 thousand fans. Great atmosphere, some good football. Bochum need a better keeper though, 2 mistakes and it cost them 3 points. Thought Sestak would get a couple for them too, after scoring 3 times for his country in the break. Wee dave will be pleased to know that their Turkish striker scored though

CosbehFox Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Actually, slow down, Real VS Valencia at the Bernabeu on the 21st December?Tempted. Severely tempted. You'd be lucky to get a ticket ''officially'' unless you were going on some organised jolly. But there's plenty of ticket touts about pre-match for a game of that magnitude. Just about to purchase tickets for Ajax v Feyenoord in February. Going on one of the tickets Ajax do. Eat and drink at the training ground, have a tour of the ground etc. and then watch the match. There's a few places I'd like to go to watch but I don't have the balls to go alone.

Floating Fox Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Did you catch Werder - Dortmund? I saw a repeat on Setanta earlier, excellent second half. I caught about 15 minutes of it earlier too. First half and was 0-0. I prefer highlights though, spesh when I don't have any connections to the teams, can't watch a re-run in live! I did manage to see Valdez make a penis of himself as usual though. Atmosphere sounded quality again.

Floating Fox Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 Just watched the Bundesliga highlights. Hoffenheim are unfortunatly looking very good. Ibisevic is champs league quality. Leverkusen also looking good. Helmes seems to score everything. Dortmund Bremen was a quality game, certainly didn't expect that from Zidan to make it 3-3. Frankfurt play Karlsurhe (sp?) tonight. They cannot lose, need somthing to get them off the bottom. Win would be nice.
lavrentis Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 I will be supporting Panathinaikos for the champions league. Tonight is a must win game. Edit: Wrong thread.

Floating Fox Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 He's on good money at Hoff though... He's on fire though atm. Frankfurt won last night, 0-0 till the 82nd minute when they went 1-0 down, equalized and then grabbed a winner in the 90th minute. Hopefully that'll spark them into life this season. I doubt it though, the table is really starting to take shape imo too. Bottom 5: 14 Bochum 7 15 Eintracht 6 --------------- 16 Arminia 6 17 FC Energie 5 18 M'gladbach 4 Can see it being similar towards then end of the season, Hopefully Bochum and Frankfurt stay that side of the line!!
Sods Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 Get your house, dog, car and Leicester Season ticket on Udinese tonight.

Depends how much he wants to develop as a player I suppose. I've also read somewhere that a Dortmund fan got into trouble after holding up a sign with a death threadt on it against Hoffenheim. What was all that about?
Floating Fox Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 Yes hope Frankfurt stay up, have a soft spot for them and Cologne. Koln are doing fantastic, 3 wins on the bounce, in the top half ahead of Bremen & Bayern (Sounds better than it is!). Novakovic is a quality striker. Think they'll struggle if he gets injured. Piere Wome plays for them too Depends how much he wants to develop as a player I suppose.I've also read somewhere that a Dortmund fan got into trouble after holding up a sign with a death threadt on it against Hoffenheim. What was all that about? Everyone in Germany has a real HATRED of Hoffenheim. In germany the rules are different, which prohibit owners like Abromogod pumping loads of money into the club. I'll use Wigan as an example though, Dave Whelen takes charge of the club (Sole owner) in the lower league, and pumps aload of money into the club, because he knows that if he gets them high enough he can make a fair bit of money out of them. In germany no club is aloud a sole owner and in most clubs cases the fans actually own 51% of the club, meaning that if someone wants to pump lots of money in, they won't get back anywhere near as much money. The guy who owns hoffenhiem doesn't care, he's ploughed shed loads of money into the club, including personally bankrolling a new stadium (which is ready in January i think). Bear in mind the village only holds 3'500. A lot of proper fans in germany are worried that many other teams will follow suit, which would be disapointing to say the least. Death threats are a bit far though.

Piere Wome plays for them too Glad to hear it, thought they might struggle without Patrick Helmes but Novakovic has thrived with the captain's armband and the added responsibility of scoring the goals. Loved Cologne as a city when I went there, definitely a city that deserves top-flight football. Everyone in Germany has a real HATRED of Hoffenheim. Floating Fox Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 Really? I knew they had a wealthy owner but I didn't know it was prohibited. Its not prohibited, it just doesn't make any sense. I don't know the whole story, but my guess would be that he owns 49% of the club, and just ploughs all the money in. He doesn't care that he won't make any money from it. Kinda like the Arabians takin' over Man city on a smaller scale, and bear in mind they don't have many foreign owners like we do!
