Fenerbahce star Semih Sentürk ensured that Fenerbahce make an impressive start to their Fortis Turkish Cup marathon by beating Ankaragücü with a 1-0-victory at the 19 Mayis Stadium.

I love that man.

Happy with the Barcelona result tonight, played some nice football in awful conditions which reminded me of Sunday League Football.

Messi and Xavi stood out for me. Xavi getting a couple of nice goals, especially the free kick.

Atletico Madrid won 2-0 with Kun Aguero getting a double, the first was a neat little chip.

Valencia got a beating tonight, I seen a little bit of it, Tchite getting a hat trick for Racing.

Juve won 2-0 at home to Roma, Del Piero with a wonder free kick.

Just seen the highlights of Inter v Reggina, my they pushed it a little at times, Reggina can count themselves unlucky not to get a draw.

Hopefully show the Villarreal highlights before I nod off.... Good win for them, just want to see the goals.

Fecking Hoffenheim. Ibisevic looks a don though - I see they have targeted Aquliani from Roma. Quite silly really that they are bidding for Europe's youthful best.

They're no worse than most millionaire teams. In fact, their success has been tremendous and they deserve the applause they get. They're entertaining and despite having a squad of no-names, they're competing at the top. I don't envy them one bit...

well, Tippiligaen finished this weekend with stabekk clear champions, and vålerenga a dismal 10th... which, following on from city's relegation makes for a very poor year for footy for me...

it'll be interesting to see how stabekk do in the champions league next year - they look like a much better side than this years representatives, Brann, who did really well considering...

i must say it is weird finishing the season in November, by the time the 09-10 champions league starts, we will be over half way through the next season...

I thought they were called Stabæk? If they keep hold of Alanzinho I think they'll have a chance to reach the CL group stages next year.

And deary me, all the so-called big clubs (Rosenborg, Vålerenga and Brann) have really had a shit year in the Tippeliga... >_<

yeah, that's the weird thing, my train goes through 'Stabekk' which is to oslo what south wigston is to leicester, so i'm used to spelling it like that, no idea why it is spelt differently for the club?

alanzinho, i had not really noticed him till this weekend, but he scored some blinders this weekend-

the strangest thing was that Brann sold their captain (andresen) to us, and we both ended up suffering for it, as he didn't have a great season

was nice to see bodø do a bit of a hull, but not that lillestrøm survived...

How was Daniel Fredheim-Holm this season?

Samp got a 1-0 win this weekend, things starting to look up. Still hoping to get to a game next year.

Ah mate, I am sure you would love it.

My cousin has been a few times and he has recommended it.

I went and watched Napoli v Reggina last Wednesday.

Atmosphere was something else.

seemingly our best player

it was a weird season, we played some terrific football, but got caught out with silly goals, got caught on the break quite a lot... very frustrating, some games we were hitting the woodwork 4-5 times, could have...should have been much better

Except they have bought their way to the top through the divisions whilst honest clubs like Union Berlin have their fans build their own stadium! Then when success comes, we'll move the club up the road from Hoffenheim.

So absolutely no different from Fulham, or even ourselves (apart from the fact that we plummet through the divisions)...

Just watched my Bundesliga Highlights. Quality weekend

Good away win for Cologne at Stuttgart last night, Novakovic again in the goals.

Don't know how Cologne keep doing it. They were outplayed and won 3-1. Novakovic takes almost every chance, unbellvable how well their doing. 4 straight wins I think.

Besiktas lost their unbeaten tag, going down 1-0 to Kayserispor.

Dortmund beat Cologne last week. Lovely stuff.

It was Dormund vs Bochum derby. Bochum took the lead through a stunning volley. Zidan equaliser and Kehl should've won it in the last minute for them.

Good point for Vfl :D

Apart from that they come from a village holding 3'500 people? Surely you can see why people hate them?

No doubt, their playing some quality stuff, with players un-heard of, Ibisevic being the main one. I really can't believe they are getting 20'000 fans when they play in Manheim!!
