and keane mouthed him back after tackling him so keane did the exact same thing as alf inge Haaland did.

Yet its ok for keane to do it but not for Haaland?

you also mention keane recieved a barrage of abuse from Haaland.... and keane has never given out a barrage of abuse to anyone has he...

you strange person.

I am not here to argue about it, but just say what I think.

Hence the word "Opinion"

I respect everyone's decision too, then there has to be one wise guy who comes here to dish out some abuse.

People get far to carried away on here.

So I am strange because I don't agree with him.

Laughable lol

What a c***

I only condone one horror challenge and that was Keane v Haaland.

:o

Although I think it was a disgusting challenge I tried to place myself in Keane's boots and the way Haaland reacted when Keane got injured at elland road, he came over and start mouthing off whilst he was on the floor in agony.

I could never forgive him, whilst others could, and I would have done the same thing as Keane if I am totally honest, which I am.

That's just my opinion on it.

Ouch they were very bad.

Why do I suprise you Alb, Just out of interest.

I am not saying that I condone filthy challenges but if someone mouthed off at me whilst I was injured I would want revenge.

Totally agree with you mate. I'd of done the same. If that makes me a c**t, then i'm a c**t.

Keane on Haaland is inexcusable. It doesn't matter what was said, it was disugsting and Keane is, and always will be, a c**t for doing it.

Dirty scouse twat deserves a hefty ban for this. No attempt to win the ball, and I bet he';ll get no more than 3 games :@ .

Disgusting. The culprit should never be considered for selection again until at least a year after the injury mends, if it ever does. But that's not the way in football where they allow killer drivers and serial thugs to carry on playing. Fagan should take the bloke to court, but I don't suppose he will.

And I don't expect the police to do anything either whereas you and I would definitely be arrested if we were seen doing that sort of thing on the street or in a pub. If you doubt me trying having a run and kick at a copper some day.

Roy Keane is an insufferable willy puller, how anyone can condone such violence from him is beyond me. And frankly no, I don't have to respect your opinion at all, it's wrong.

The people saying they understand why he did it and would do the same ARE condoning it, however much they declare otherwise.

It was a bad challenge, but not that bad.

I'm sure Guthrie didn't mean it.

Are you being serious? Not that bad. :crylaugh:

It's broke Fagans leg! He already went for him once, missed him then kicked him at about knee height when the ball was on the floor. Guthrie certainly had no intention of going for the ball.

What a ridiculous post.

Exactly, he failed once so followed him another ten yards and smashed him just under the knee, a clean swipe, no intention of winning the ball.

No, im afraid not JTB. I said I would of done the same if i were in Keane's position. That doesnt mean im condoning it, think its right, or am saying he was right to do it.

Just that i would of done the same. It's very different.

I'd waited long enough. I fooking hit him hard. The ball was there (I think). Take that you cunt. And don't ever stand over me sneering about fake injuries.

You would intentionally hurt someone, end their career, because they had made a few comments to you in the past?

I'm surprised.

No. I wouldnt want to end Haalands career, i think that was just an unfortunate by product of an admittedly horrendous challenge. I'd want to get revenge for what Haaland said, to let him know i'd not forgot what he said, but i wouldnt of wanted to end his career, no. Thats where i draw the line, and probably where me and Keane differ, because he probably DID go out to finish his career.

But if you tackle like Keane, as you say you would have done, the likelihood is that you will end the victim's career whether you wanted to or not.

We still on this, I wish I never mentioned it now. lol

Obviously some have other opinions.

I stand by what I said, sorry if it offends anyone, I did state that I don't condone the tackle, but given the circumstances surrounding the incident I was stating that If he had mouthed off while I was on the floor in agony, I would have done the same thing.

Regardless of what he said, the last thing I would want is someone being mouthy and hurling abuse at me whilst I was in agony.

I would be seething.

I know Keane is far from being a angel, he has done some nasty things in his career, I am just trying to put myself in that position and thinking how I would react.

Having said that, I know I would feel remorse if I finished his career, something Keane did not feel.

No, if i was as good a football player as Roy Keane, i'd know how to hurt someone. I'd certainly know where the line was between hurting someone and ending their career.

And let's be honest here, i've seen far worse challeneges than that, where the tackled player gets up and carries on. Yes it was high, but its not like Haalands leg was planted. I think it was a freak accident that it ended his career.
