C-man Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 Also, if people had half a brain, they should judge him on his performance (Also how many people here have done something in life that was completely stupid? I know i have.) Granted he made a mistake, but i think every footballer has. He always plays with heart and soul for club and country. One of the reasons why England have failed in recent years is due to over the top/un-necessary criticism, because things haven't got 100% perfect. Also the reason why we underperform at Wembley in my opinion, because of a complete lack of confidence. I hope that the Croatia game and the last quarter of the Kazakhstan game will give them more confidence. I will always dislike Ashley Cole off the pitch, but I think he's without a doubt the best Left-back we have, and I thought the booing was disgraceful.
Tevez Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 Ashley Cole is a poor man's Gael Clichy. Even though I wouldn't have booed Cole there, he's a knob jockey, and everyone knows it. I can't believe I'm reading this. Gael Clichy is the most over-rated full back to grace the Premiership.

But why should that affect what he does for England? It shouldn't one bit. I bet most of the people that booed him, were ones that have the same feelings of him as you. Cole is much better than Gael Clichy too. Also the reason why we underperform at Wembley in my opinion, because of a complete lack of confidence. Anyway, one man's opinion, I prefer Clichy.
Bert Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 Bet he doesn't get booed on Wednesday. That's because the real fans who understand football will be there. You going?
Hullfox Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 That's because the real fans who understand football will be there. You going? I am indeed. fooking day trip to Belarus. I need me bumps feeling.
Bert Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 I am indeed. fooking day trip to Belarus.I need me bumps feeling. Enjoy it Sir. Bring us 3 points back!

Durnerz Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 When I went to Wembley for the U.S.A game where I was sitting was infested with cockneys and despite us being 2-0 up it all started with some hammer chanting 'Oh Ashley Cole, is a fookin arsehole...' then that lead to the Spurs and Arsenal fans in the near reaches catching on and singing away, then the Chelsea lot would be squabbling with their fans, it was just such a disunited excuse for a cockney 6-0-6 live from Wembley, ruins the atmosphere in my opinion and i'm not surprised he got the same treatment on saturday from those muppets.
Tilley Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Idiots. This won't bother him though, he'll take it with a pinch of salt.
Uncle Albert Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Ashley Cole is class. I have said it for ages. Not like a few people in here. <_<
Benjani Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 It was most likely a group of Arsenal fans who started it.

Is it me or are an awful lot of England fans cockneys ?
Bert Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Is it me or are an awful lot of England fans cockneys ? Seeing as London is yanno, the biggest city in England you'd be surprised.
Uncle Albert Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 It was most likely a group of Arsenal fans who started it. Probably but alot of people jump on the bandwagon. So many of the fans booing, most of them 'boo' him because of his personal life. Arsewipes. Its alot like Gerrard, Lampard and any of the Goalkeepers. When they hear their mates or someone sitting near them slating a player then they all jump on the bandwagon. England fans at times are the worst fans in the world.
Tevez Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 How Stephen Warnock isn't in the England squad I'll never know.
Uncle Albert Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 How Stephen Warnock isn't in the England squad I'll never know. Correct young Sir.
Lovejoy Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Seeing as London is yanno, the biggest city in England you'd be surprised. What I mean is they disproportionately outnumber fans representing other parts of the country (even taking into account Wembley is down Sawf), and as well a lot of them aren't proper fans of their clubs, whereas as fans from other areas of England appear to be proper club fans as well . That's the impression I get anyway.
Smiffy Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Just heard that Ashley will not play on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury...coincidence?? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12098_4310570,00.html

But like many things in this country it is no longer seems much of an issue and people don't see it as a problem. It's scum like him that are the reason for so many broken homes around the country, and the reason so many single mothers daily struggle. I hope it gets the message across that adultry is not acceptable. If you aint happy with one women Don't get married.

Cole is a part of that team, and he's an excellent footballer, no matter what you may think of him off the pitch.

I understand what you are saying, but other players have cheated on their wves and not been booed. I think the booing was for his attitude when leaving Arsenal and joining Chelsea.
