Benjani Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Anyone else concerned. This is our schedule for the upcoming weeks. Sat 18th OCT - Oldham away. Tues 21st OCT - Walsall home. Sat 25th OCT - Cobblers home. Tues 28th OCT - Brighton away. Sat 1st NOV - Brizzle Rovers home. Tues 4th NOV - Rotherham away (JPT) Sat 8th NOV - FA Cup 1st round. Tues 11th NOV - Yeovil home (rearranged) Sat 15th NOV - Swindon away. It's a good thing we have a few players coming back from injuries, I can see players who havn't had much of a chance yet getting played. And it might be a good thing to recall Weso? Ah yes. edited to include FA CUP game
Lovejoy Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Is the weekend of 8th/9th November FA Cup Round 1 by any chance? If so, that's hectic. Or internationals ?

Benjani Posted 13 October 2008 Author Posted 13 October 2008 I wonder what sort of attendance we would get for a 1st round home tie against Newcastle Blue Star.
Lovejoy Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 I wonder what sort of attendance we would get for a 1st round home tie against Newcastle Blue Star. Many may disagree, but I'd much rather have an away tie looking at some of the potential venues .
Benjani Posted 13 October 2008 Author Posted 13 October 2008 Many may disagree, but I'd much rather have an away tie looking at some of the potential venues . Yeah without a doubt. I was just wondering what sort of attendance we would get for a game like that at home. Hinckley or Kettering away would be decent.
syston_fox Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Many may disagree, but I'd much rather have an away tie looking at some of the potential venues . Good luck getting tickets for some of those grounds unless your priority one or two season ticket holder.
The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 We've gotta be looking for Maidstone United away.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 thats nine games in 27 days...or 1 every 3 days thats a hell of a lot
Lovejoy Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Good luck getting tickets for some of those grounds unless your priority one or two season ticket holder. No problemo !
Nod.E Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 If we get Hinkley, and a fair few people get injured, my mate would be playing against Leicester, plays for my team. Played against Port Vale Youth the other day. He's in the 3rd round of the FA youth cup anyway. That would be quality though if he was playing Leicester. I reckon we'll lose in the first round. Especially if we get a small team - it would be a cup final for them.
Ozwin Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 I'm glad. I've been sick of waiting until every Saturday for a game. It get's well boring. More football = fun fun fun!
fox123 Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 This period will test our fitness levels, I would expect us to still be up there (top 2) during that period and going into December
Corky Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 The last thing we need is an Fa Cup replay. If we do draw, we'll have a midweek match every week until December.
Munzie Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 I'm hoping that Pearson is going to start integrating other squad members to our starting eleven rather than just sticking with the same faces. I appreciate that we don't want to tamper with a winning team, but with fixture congestion, anything can happen. It's very easy to pick up a small knock and not being able to shake it off for the next game when so many mid-week matches are due. I'm hoping that the paint pot games and the odd friendly will help returning players obtain match fitness. We've seen very little evidence of squad rotation - something that all successful teams tend to build in.
