Based on recent performances for England I feel that the place is Lampard's to lose now, it really is great to see him performing how we all know he can in an England shirt. Heskey and Rooney up front, Wright - Phillips on the left with Lescott at centre back.

Could play Barry there as he can play anywhere. <_< Got a sneaky feeling he will start Gerrard and Lamps together and hopefully he will. Rooney and Heskey together upfront. Hope he starts SWP and Walcott together. Brown looks good enough at right back aswell. Im not sure about Beckham playing against Belarus he came on and done well against Kaza but... I just dont know. You cannot afford to drop such good players. Fact. Putting Gerrard on the wing just doesnt work. Ow wait. Barry is such a good player and he will sit there and play a 5 yard pass to either a centre back or a centre midfielder. He is such a brilliant player.

I think Barry is useful for England, but if Gerrard and Lampard are playing well together, then imo that is the preferable choice.

I know both are very good players but they dont play well together. We saw against Croatia how much better it was without that combination. Why go backwards?, its been tried to death by 3 managers. Time to pick the best team not just the best players. But I have to say a little part of me thinks maybe just maybe they will start to play well together, its so hard leaving out a great player but how long can we keep going with the same failing side?
