Team for Stevanage

Whoaa! Hold your foxetalk horses for a minute.

If we are mighty Leicester, the team that's going to bounce straight back up to the promised land, why are so many of you picking the vast majority of our first team players for this encounter against Stevange?

Especially as so many of our players have had too many games on the bounce. The romance of the cup will always be there but this year in particular we have other, more important things to worry about.

We should be using Saturdays game (the same way as we should have used the paint pot cup) to experiment and give others a much needed run out.

Even with our youth team and walking wounded, we'll still use you keeper as target practice. Make sure he is familiar in how to pick a ball out of the back of the net. :P

He sure is, 28 league goals conceded so far this season. Mind you, almost half of those were in the first 5/6 games before he signed for us.

We have also scored 28, all bar a couple after those first 5/6 games, so if you put a youth team in goal/defence it could be something like 6 all!

So far Pearson has shown no signs of making the changes I'd like to see, apart from introducing the pace of Chambers up front.

The changes are:

a) A specialist right back.

b) The return to a constructive back line.

c) Someone to replace King or Oakley in midfield when they tire.

d) People who will make the runs to support our wingers

My choice:

Henderson;

O'Neill or Cox, Tunchev, Morrison, Mattock;

Gradel, King, Oakley, Dyer;

Chambers, Fryatt.

Subs: Morrison, Adams, Howard, Porter, McKay.

You've had some pretty controversial ideas in the past, but cloning Morrison? That's gotta be the worst yet. :thumbup:

Stevenage Borough are in Warner Bro's Cinema at the Meridian. Fact.

that would be hard seeing as it's not called Warner Bro's any more

I hope you play your first team.

This is one of, if not the biggest game in our history and we all hope you play your best players.

I'm warming up my wig and face paint as I write.

Whoooooooo!!

Thanks SamL. :thumbup: It came of toying with Hobbs or Morrison for the second centre-back position. I put Hobbs in at first but then felt that Morrison was marginally more constructive.

It feels strange leaving Kisnorbo out because, were I the manager, I feel sure I'd love to have his warrior qualities in the team. Some of his blocks show a commitment to the cause you would never willingly discard.

By now I would have worked and worked on Kisnorbo's passing and on his mental attitude to distributing the ball but in all the time he's been here it hasn't happened. There's been no lasting improvement any more than Henderson has been coached to distribute the ball faster and to players' feet.

I don't know who to criticise most on this, Kisnorbo or the coaches, but I can promise you the special efforts involved would have been worth it and a Kisnorbo with passing ability would have been a blessing indeed.

But who am I to tell professional coaches what they should do?

Surely the cup games vs Newcastle a few year back were bigger than this? They certainly got a lot of media attention!

I like the look of that team, i would play Morrison and Tunchev, but i would rather Adams starts over Gradel.

I really don't mind Adams starting because I think there is a case for Gradel being the impact sub anyway. But don't anyone doubt who I think has the most ability of the two.

I think Gradel is a good impact sub, but at the moment i feel Adams seems to be playing better then Gradel, as he seems to lose the ball too much, and it gets frustrating watching him at times. I admire the fact he is positive and takes players on but it doesn't seem to be working for him lately.

Don't think there's any chance of hell in this happening but it's what I'd like to see for this game nonetheless.
