TAFKA Castroneves Posted 16 April 2005 Posted 16 April 2005 If we loose to Cardiff I will start pissing myself over the prospect of relegation again.
davieG Posted 16 April 2005 Posted 16 April 2005 forest are gone 93676 I think you're right 6 points from 3 games is a tall order, Plymouth are safe I believe as I can't see Brighton winning 2 games either - so its perm 1 from 7 as in Brighton, Cardiff, Crewe, Gillingham, Coventry, Watford and Leicester.
Matt Posted 16 April 2005 Posted 16 April 2005 Down with Forest we're going down with the Forest! Oh well next season I plan to go to some away games...some nice weekends away, Bournemouth providing they don't get up through playoffs, Blackpool, Torquay, and possibly Brighton although they could be the team we replace in the relegation zone Before today i'd have said we were safe now i'm doubting myself...
Steven Posted 16 April 2005 Author Posted 16 April 2005 If we win on Tuesday it means Forest cannot finish above us and Brighton and/or Cardiff must win their last three games in order to stay up. The match on Tuesday is the biggest for the Club in 10 years.
reynard Posted 16 April 2005 Posted 16 April 2005 Totally agree. can't see forest catching us anyway. they would need to win last 3 games 5-0 and hope we lose all ours 2-0 to overtake us. Brighton have to play ipswich and west ham at home and rotherham away i think.
Benji Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 do people know we have 2 games in hand? heh think logically the guys below us, they can't win games! that's why they (and we) are there!! they're not going to all win all 3 matches stop panicking
Bert Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 do people know we have 2 games in hand? hehthink logically the guys below us, they can't win games! that's why they (and we) are there!! they're not going to all win all 3 matches stop panicking 94083 Exactly Benji, good point there! and we AINT gonna lose Every Game left this season.

I would rather have the points than the games.
C-man Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 I'll start talking about safety when we next win a game

C-man Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 I'd prefer 6!! 94111 Well yeah, but i cant see it unfortuantely
Bert Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 I'd prefer 6!! 94111 Well yeah, but i cant see it unfortuantely 94113 At the minute with the way we're playin i can't see us taking any!!

Benji Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 yeah but the point i was trying to make was not the games in hand, but the teams below us are likely to lose all three with a possible draw that why they are there!
Random Burglar Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 Nothing can be taken for granted!! Especially in this league!! Its another wait and see how we perform situation.
Chandler Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 An additional stale crumb of comfort is that one or two of the sides between P17 - P22 have to play each other. From a mathematical perspective it is very unlikely that we will go down. But to be 'relegation possibles' with only five games to go is shameful. And for a manager to abandon his team and go roamin' in the gloamin' for useless Eustaces in these circumstances quite frankly, Mr Shankly, beggars belief.

Piss poor administration and a piss poor management team took over after Taylor and were allowed to continue to take this Club further and further into the wilderness. A policy of signing players on reputation rather than current footballing ability has left us in this position. Clearly Micky you still won't accept the blame for any of this, all the best next season I look forward to your visit to the Walkers.

So our promotion season whilst we were in administration was a 'season in the wilderness' was it? And our admin and management problems began AFTER Taylor did they? You are either a wind-up merchant or a care in the community case.
breadandcheese Posted 18 April 2005 Posted 18 April 2005 Whatever your thoughts on Micky, he came here and did a fantastic job for us. He was exactly the man we needed at the time and we should always wish him the best and thank him for his service to Leicester. He may not have the tactical acumen to manage at the highest level, however, at this level, he is a good manager who helped to rescue this club when on the verge of extinction. Do not piss all over Micky's reign by thinking only of this season and the players who have let this club down so badly. True Micky signed them and paid the price for it. However, when we needed him most, he came through for us and got us promoted. This season he made bad decisions and got punished.

You are either a wind-up merchant or a care in the community case. 94762 I think a bunch of mercenaries playing for their deferred wages and bonuses had a lot more to do with our promotion than the management team of Cork, Basset and yourself Micky. We bullied our way out of the division and you know it. Look at our performances in the Premiership and the needless points we threw away right from day one. The inability of the management and administration to rectify those problems sees us where we are now. You said on another thread that the BoD should take credit for appointing MON and indeed they should but then they employed the 2 worst managers in the history of our Club in succession, so that keeps them right in the firing line in the blame stakes. Yes Taylor made many mistakes and I hate him for it, but the BoD could have solved that but didn’t then installed Bertie and Micky and well look where we are now.
