There's more legroom in the upper tier than the lower. In the lower, I struggled to get my legs in, I'm just about 6ft. Maybes couldn't even sit down.

Last time I went Leeds I was on Row L block FA3 which if I remember correctly is right next to where you come out to get to your seats.
