Father Ted Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 What was the song that was sung by SK2/3? The MK Dons fans sung it and were jumping while singing it. Something like: 'Ole ole ole ole Leicester!'
Simi Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Few good renditions of the old stuff in L1 today, Iwan is a Welshman, Bring on the Sunderland and Arsenal, Dublins Fair City, When You're Smiling, Singing the Blues which is incidently one of my favourites.

Father Ted Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I've come up with a good song I think. Lyrics: We are the Leicester, mighty mighty Leicester We hate the Derby and the Forest too Who cares about the scousers and Manchester We are going up as champione OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE To this tune (starts at around 0:25): The tune sung in the stands:
ts_1010 Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 How about (to the Dads Army song) Who do you think you are kidding little Fergie? If you think the Leicesters done. We are the boys who will stop your little team we are the side who will kill your title dreams so who dod you think you are kidding little fergie? if you think the Leicesters done. It could also work for Grayson. and a few others if we get it established.

Didn't catch on, some people actually got quite annoyed by it. Don't think ripping off Sheffield United's "Greasy Chip Butty Song" would be all that popular either. It is kind of "their" song.

Fosse Boy Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 some of them worth a shot no? They're mostly Man U rip offs. Still, I suppose anything I come up with is usually an FC United rip off... The last song, "We love you!" could be quality if it got going, as I'm sure SUAS agrees.

He came up with it didn't he? + Its impossible to find anything new that will catch on, we have absolutely bugger all for a team anthem anymore.

When You're Smiling? I'd consider that to be "our" song. Be better if we sang it a little slower though...
Dan Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 When You're Smiling? I'd consider that to be "our" song. Be better if we sang it a little slower though... Its never sang right, too fast (like every song we have), and no-one joins in. Either way I don't think we can call it our main song due to how ruined it is. Sad but true.
Ultra Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Na na na na na na na na na na City's going up, going up. City's going up! (at least, we hope so...)
Ultra Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 To the tune of Mambo No. 5.. A little bit of Fryatt in our lives, A little bit of Maxi down the sides, A little bit of King is what we need, A little bit of Dyer with his speed, A little bit of Tunchev in defence, A little bit of Howard, he's immense, A little bit of cheering from the fans, We've got the best team in the land! The words might not be strictly true, but who cares? The song is what matters..
leicesterseddon Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 When You're Smiling? I'd consider that to be "our" song. Be better if we sang it a little slower though... i quite like the fact WYS has still remained a fans' song, untouched by stupid remixes from a far-away pop star etc., and i also like the fact it came from the fans and not from the idea of a club/individaul song writer the only thing is, it's hardly what you'd call anthemic. in fact, there's barely a tune. i think that in some ways WYS is more of a fans' song than you'll never walk alone (a song from a musical re-done by some scousers and in fact sung by dozens of teams all over europe) or marching on together (just a song written for the fans), but because those two have such great tunes and are so suited to the terrace, the football world will never even hear our contribution... but basically, anything with more than 5 words is never going to get started in the 'kop'. i once had an idea of singing something like this to the tune of 'the animals went in two by two' (Torres song): We all hate Nottingham and that's a fact, a fact We all hate Nottingham and that's a fact, a fact The men are bald, the women are fat And Robin Hood was a ****ing twat We all hate Nottingham na na na na na na (na na na na na na na na na na na na na , etc. ad infinitum) would love to actually hear it, but won't hold my breath...
hesapeepingtom Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 up above the streets and houses rainbow flyin high you can see it over the houses in the sky paint the whole world with a rainbow!
C-man Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 We are the Champions, Champions of League One (Repeat etc etc) Especially relevant for Monday, and even if we don't win the league it'll still make sense to Leeds fans
